+ OF Sebatstian Lopez (Homeschool, 2028) measured in at a projectable 5-foot-8, 146 pounds and displayed some bursty athleticism at the start of the event by running the quickest 60-yard dash of the event at 6.93 seconds. He then hit with a compact swing with a flat bat path that produced a max exit velocity of 89.6 mph. On defense, Lopez displayed clean and athletic actions during his outfield work and was up to 82 mph with backspin and carry through the target. This was the second time we’ve seen Lopez in the showcase setting and we came away impressed with the overall profile and will keep a close eye on him and look forward to future developments in the winter at the preseason ID.

+ C Silas Cronkite (Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln, 2026) continues to showcase loud tools in the showcase setting for our staff. He started his day by running a respectable 7.20 60 yard dash showing off an athletic gait and quick turnover. Next, the right-handed hitter produced the highest max exit velocity of the day at 95.6 mph as the ball was jumping off his bat throughout the round from his repeatable right handed swing. Behind the plate, the defense continues to be the carrying tool for the senior. Cronkite had the second best pop time of the day at 2.08 and we’ve seen him sub 2.00 seconds in the past. Cronkite has a high aptitude for the catching position and is an asset behind the plate with how athletic he is in general, but especially for a backstop. Cronkite remains a name to follow and will be a player that will be able to help a program at that next level as he continues to develop.

Mazur showcased an aggressive yet controlled move to the hitting zone and hit with a very well sequenced swing from the right side of the plate. He was hitting hard line drives consistently through the back of the facility and was repeating his right handed swing consistently throughout his round. PITCHERS/TWO-WAY PLAYERS
+ RHP/INF Tanner Bergey (Jefferson, 2028) is a top ranked player in the state for his class and his performance on Sunday backed up his ranked status. Bergey is a long levered and projectable 6-foot-6, 185 pound two-way player. On the mound, Bergey timed up his long levers consistently and was running his heater up to 84 mph through the zone. His sharp 12/6 breaking ball was thrown to the lower part of the strike zone and has the potential to be a swing and miss weapon for him in the future. His slider is a tight and quick breaker and gives him an additional breaking ball weapon. He also showed some feel for a developing change up. As a position player, Bergey has an athletic and quick swing from the right side of the plate and was hitting rockets throughout his round. His 95.1 mph max exit velocity was the third best overall at the event. Additionally, he worked with clean and loose actions in the middle infield and displayed reliable defensive actions throughout his round. The sophomore has a high ceiling and our staff will continue to keep close tabs on him as we enter into the winter showcase season.

He deployed a sharp 12/6 curveball that displayed some out pitch characteristics. He rounded out his arsenal with a slider that provided more lateral break than the curve which should play well against same-handed hitters in game.
