RHP/CIF Jake Bjerke (Eleva-Strum, 2024) stood out as a two-way athlete for the Eau Claire A’s at the PBRT Wisconsin Open a couple of weeks ago. On Tuesday, our staff got an updated look at the prospect for the first time since the winter, and he once again put together a noteworthy performance. Standing at 6-foot-2, 205-pounds, Bjeke has a sturdy foundation to work with as he progresses into his senior season at Eleva-Strum. At the plate, he finished with one of the highest average exit velocities, sitting at 83 mph. The right-handed batter presents himself with a wide stance setup, utilizing his loose, relaxed hands to square up the baseball, driving one 334 feet during the BP session. Bjerke finished as a winner on the mound, spinning all three of his pitches at a high rate, between 2100-2600 rpm. His fastball maxed at 84 mph, displaying power and ride. In addition to that pitch, Bjerke mixed in two breaking balls, showcasing quality feel for a sweeping slider that had tight spin and was thrown for strikes. His complete arsenal, paired with a strong bat, shapes Bjerke up well for the rest of the summer and into his final season of high school baseball.
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 6-2, 205-pounds. Broad shoulders, thick lower half, strength throughout.
Hit: RHH. Stock stance width, relaxed hands, loads with toe, loose hand path, hitterish look. Level bat path with strong hands. Some loft to finish. Pull-side power. 70.7 mph bat speed with 14 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 92 max exit velocity, averaged 83 mph. 334’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 82 mph. Full arm action with strength to throws.
Defense: Attacks the ball. Two-handed gather. Plays tall.
Run: 7.61 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Stretch only, high leg kick.
Arm Action: RH. Short through arm arc, compact.
FB: T84, 81-84 mph. Plays with ride through zone, power FB. T2244, 2210 average rpm.
CB: 71-74 mph. Developing feel for pitch, occasional placement, some break. T2250, 2105 average rpm.
SL: 72-74 mph. Feel for pitch, sharper break. T2686, 2560 average rpm.
Bjerke provided an upside look during Friday’s full-slate. Listed at a strong 6-foot-2, 210-pounds, Bjerke is a clean and simple mover on the bump, pairing it with a strong arm that topped at 85 mph during his complete game efforts. As for his offspeeds, he showed the utmost confidence in a mid-70s breaking ball with late depth that consistently earned awkward swings-and-misses. He would finish his day with eight strikeouts, en route to a back-and-forth 8-5 win.

Body: 6-1, 200-pounds. Well-proportioned, more fill coming.
Delivery: Medium tempo, medium leg lift, medium leg swing finish to home.
Arm Action: RH. Short arm draw, 3/4 slot, quick arm, repeats.
FB: T81, 77-80 mph. Drives it to areas, small tail finish. T1990, 1839 average rpm.
CB: 70-71 mph. Lateral sweep, can expand, lateness and biting action. T2199, 2144 average rpm.
SL: 69-72 mph. Short, quick sweeping action, sharpness. T2223, 2143 average rpm.

Body: 6-1, 200-pounds. Well-proportioned, more fill coming.
Hits: RHH. Stock setup, balanced. Easy press into back leg, gets to strong and balanced hitting position, short quick direct path, can impact the baseball to pull-side.
Power: 89 max exit velocity, averaged 82 MPH. 304' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-79 mph.Low 3/4 slot, accurate.
Defense: Two-hand gather out front.
