Verch has a big presence on the mound, standing as a 6-foot-4. 230-pound frame. Setting up off-set on the mound, the right-hander works with a high leg kick, getting down the mound, with a loose, full-circle arm action from the ¾ slot. Working with a three-pitch mix, the fastball was sitting 83-86 mph, with ride through the zone and slight cut, max 21.1 IVB. The curveball was sitting 69-72 mph, coming out of the same slot with more of a gyro shape, and the changeup was sitting 76-78 mph with arm-side fade. Through his two innings, Verch collected one strikeout, allowing two hits, filling up the zone, and showing the ability to miss barrels.

+ RHP Luke Verch (Reedsburg Area, 2026) would show an intriguing profile on the mound this past Sunday, highlighted by a strong 6-foot-4, 230-pound with athleticism to project on. The right-handed arm would show explosive and aggressive movements down the mound with a medium leg kick and above-average usage of his lower half. Coming from a loose over-the-top arm slot, the fastball would sit low-80s (T84) with ride up in the zone. Verch would also show a short-breaking 12/6 curve, a slider with sharp downer action, and a downer changeup that he killed spin on throughout his bullpen.
Displaying a strong 6-foot-3 218-pound frame, Verch was impressive on the mound for GRB, as the right-handed arm created a lot of swing and miss. Mechanically, Verch possesses a high leg lift and long stride in line with home plate, fully extending on his follow through. He has a high 3/4 arm slot with long arm action. He was able to pound the corners of the zone with his 81-84 mph fastball that portrays late life. He complemented his fastball with a diving 73-75 mph changeup that had hitters off balance all day.
RHP Luke Verch (Reedsburg, 2026) took down a tough lineup on Saturday, firing five shutout innings while controlling the zone and keeping opposing hitters off-balance. Verch worked his fastball in the 74-78 mph range and paired it with a slider at 67-70 mph and changeup at 69-71 mph. He showed the ability to land all three of his pitches for strikes and utilized his off-speed well off his fastball.
