Has long been an intriguing follow in the Badger State’s 2025 class, standing at a 6-foot-2, 201-pound frame. Wagner averaged an EV of 84.1 mph throughout the showcase portion of the event, swinging a quick bat with present strength from the right side of the plate. Wagner is a steady defender at the third base position, too. The to-be senior reached 85 mph on the infield with the arm—showcasing an accurate arm that makes the routine plays with ease.

Wagner continues to impress with the bat and with the glove in front of our staff. Wagner has a natural swing and a natural feel to hit. He showed what he can do with the bat by barrelling balls to both gaps and surpassing the 90 mph mark in terms of exit velocities. Additionally, he had the highest average distance for batted ball data, indicating he can consistently drive balls for power all over the diamond. With the glove, Wagner showed silky smooth actions on the dirt with soft hands and showcased a strong arm (85 mph) giving him the tools to stick at the hot corner in the future. After creating some late helium for himself in the fall of last year, Wagner started the winter circuit off on a right note, and seems poised for a big junior campaign.

Wagner attended his second event of the winter and continued to impress our PBR Wisconsin staff. Wagner stands a strong 6-foot-2, 200 pounds with more strength coming to his frame. He controls his body exceptionally well in the infield with quality infield actions, soft hands, and a smoothness to overall look to the defensive profile. Wagner has plenty of arm to stick at third base, showing off throws across the diamond at 83 mph with accuracy and carry through the first baseman. His swing is simple, repeatable, loose and relaxed with impressive hand-eye coordination and feel for the barrel. His 91 mph max exit velocity is notable due to the fact that his swing is easy, fluid, under control and balanced yet the ball jumps off of his bat. Wagner is definitely a name to know in the state of Wisconsin for the class of 2025.

The ease of operation in which he delivered the barrel was what stood out during the hitting portion of the event. Wagner showcased impressive actions in the infield with rhythmic feet, soft hands and an accurate arm up to 83 mph, giving him the ability to stick at the hot corner in the future. Wagner definitely put himself firmly on the map as a name to follow in the Badger State’s 2025 class.
