INF/RHP Nick Stellrecht (New Richmond, 2026) is a 6-foot-5, 215-pound right-hander with a strong, athletic build. At the plate, Stellrecht swings a powerful right-handed bat, recording some of the highest batted ball metrics of the day. Stellrecht averaged 87.2 mph throughout his round, peaking at 96.4 and also had the second farthest batted ball of the day at 356 feet. His bat metrics were equally impressive with an average bat speed of 75.6 and average hand speed of 23.4. On the mound, he works with a high leg tuck into a drop-and-drive delivery, staying on-line with home plate. He’s balanced as he moves downhill with his high-¾ slot. The fastball is 81-82 mph generated in part due to his quick arm speed, showing some sink when thrown down in the zone. His 71-75 curveball has smaller break, showing more like a vertical-breaking slider. Stellrecht also showed a changeup with heavy sink, coming from the same plane as the fastball at 77-79 mph. His frame should allow the incoming junior to continue to add strength and velocity as he matures.

Uncommitted, Stellrecht tossed a complete game shutout versus Eau Claire North where he struck out nine batters
Stellrecht made his first appearance in front of our Wisconsin staff at the Western Wisconsin Open, back in June. There, Stellrecht’s 6-foot-4, 181-pound frame caught our attention as soon as he walked in. Despite his extra long levers and young age, he moves decently and is able to sync them up both at the plate and on the mound, where he uses his height to throw downhill fastballs in the high-70s. He also features a true 12/6 breaking ball and a deceptive changeup. Overall, there is a lot to like from this young righty, and he will be a name to keep tabs on as he continues to improve.
Listed at a slender 6-foot-4, 175 pounds, Stellrecht broke out at this event, and he uses his long levers especially well for a player that size and at his age. Stellrecht is particularly intriguing on the mound, where he organizes his delivery well; a drop-and-drive move from back side, on-line leg lift, on-line land, quiet head through release, medium leg swing to home. Over-the-top slot with quickness and power to how it all works through the baseball. Fastball showcased 76-78 mph with steep downhill angle and late arm-side run, spinning at more than 2,228 rpm on average, signaling a significant velocity ceiling. Also featured a true 12/6 breaker, 65-67 mph, that should show hard biting action in the future as velo increases, and it’s already spinning over 2,100 rpm. Stellrecht also showcased a changeup with deceptive sell and late fade/run action at the plate. It was a quality look at one of the more impressive Class of 2026 prospects we’ve seen this summer.
