It’s a narrow set-up with a short stride toward center and a quiet trigger. The 3B showed a real feel to hit, as his hardest ball came off at 95.5 mph and he averaged 91.2 mph, both of which were some of the day’s top metrics. Defensively, he showed quick and athletic footwork with a clean transfer. His arm was loose and athletic at 84 mph across the diamond. His 6.97 60-yard time was one of the better marks of the day, too. On the mound, Kerkhoff used a quick sidestep delivery with efficient movement. This performance led to an invite to the Junior Future Games where continued to put his tools-y skillset on display.

Kerkhoff stands a projectable 5-foot-11 weighing 155-pounds. He possess current strength in hands and projects for increased strength and size. Starting from an upright set up, he sprayed line drives to all fields with a quick handsy swing. He works through the ball at shortstop and drives strong throws through the bag. Kerkhoff is a toolsy talent and is looking forward to showing off his tools during this week at LakePoint for the Junior Future Game Wisconsin team.

Tall, athletic frame with room to fill out. Easy, fluid movements on the mound from the right side. ¾ arm slot with whippy arm action. Flashed loud stuffy early in the game. FB produced swings and misses and sat 77-79 mph, T80. Showed a changeup that had downer action and out-pitch potential moving forward sitting 69-71 mph. Showed composure when faced with tough situations early against a good hitting BNBA Renegades lineup. Additionally, he had a double down the left field line for the Rays early in the game.
