Southeastern CC recruit, currently ranked No. 107 in the state’s senior class, listed at an athletic 5-foot-10, 165 pounds, Lokken started in center field and hit in the three hole for the ‘Abes while going 1-for-3 at the plate with a double. Lokken has been one of the top bats for the ‘Abes since he made varsity, hitterish look in the box taking a direct path to the baseball with easy bat-to-ball skills. Defensively Lokken takes correct and efficient routes to the baseball, with enough range to play all three spots at the next level.
Positional Profile: OF/SS
Body: 5-10, 165-pounds. Athletic with good proportions.
Hit: RHH. Stock set up with easy and rhythmic toe tap gather back. Short, compact, quick, well sequenced, smooth and loose, hitterish, hammering balls through both gaps. 69.3 mph bat speed with 15 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 91 max exit velocity, averaged 82.8 mph. 291' max distance.
Arm: RH. OF-84 mph. High 3Q slot, carry and accuracy through the target.
Defense: Smooth to the ball, modified crow hop.
ATH: 7.11 runner in the 60. 1.72 and 3.95 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. 30.10 max vertical.
Lokken is an athletic junior outfielder who put his all-around skillset on display in Saturday’s showcase. Lokken began by recording one of the top 60-yard times at 7.11. He showed smooth actions in the outfield, reaching 84 mph from a high 3/4 slot with carry and accuracy. Using a toe-tap, Lokken showed good rhythm at the plate in route to one of the better BP performances. It’s a smooth and loose, well-sequenced swing that enables him to be on-time and shoot balls to both gaps. Look for the power to continue to mature as Lokken continues to fill out.
