Now just past the halfway point of the WIAA spring season, our staff has been out in full force covering games across the state. With that, we’re turning our attention to Wisconsin’s senior class, using this Scout Blog to spotlight the 2025 prospects who’ve stood out during the first month of the season.

This midseason check-in features in-game reports on players our staff has seen live throughout April — a mix of ranked names, uncommitted talent, and a few MLB Draft follows making early impressions in their final prep spring. We’ll have another round of coverage at the end of the season, but for now, here’s a look at the seniors making an early impact across the state.

CATCHERS

Marek Bolson, C, Oconomowoc, 2025
Kent State recruit, currently the No. 11 ranked player in the state’s senior class. Standing at 6-foot-1, 192 pounds with clear strength to the frame. Hitting leadoff and catching for the Raccoons, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs. One of the stronger left-handed hitters in the state, with barrel skills and showing the consistent ability to put the bat on the baseball. Defensively behind the plate, Bolson is an athletic defender with natural actions, strong and fluid hands while receiving the baseball to pair with a strong and accurate arm from the crouch. The ceiling is there for an above average defender that can more than handle himself at the plate, especially if he starts to tap into more power in game. - Josh Fields, from April 12, 2025

Kent State recruit, one of the top players in the senior class, standing at a strong and physical 6-foot-1, 192 pound frame. Started behind the dish and hit leadoff for Oconomowoc, going 3-for-4 at the plate with two home runs and five RBIs against one of the state’s top pitching prospects. The left-handed hitter has been tapping into more game power in front of our staff this spring, always showing feel to elevate the baseball while making more contact as a whole this spring. Defensively behind the plate, capable of catching at a high level, with catch and throw traits, strong receiving and fluid actions out of the crouch. - Josh Fields, from April 15, 2025

AJ Clark, C, Whitnall, 2025; Wisconsin-La Crosse
Wisconsin-La Crosse recruit, currently ranked No. 85 in the state’s senior class, and one of the top catchers in the state. Listed at an athletic 5-foot-11, 165-pound frame with lean strength to the frame and room for added fill. At the plate, the right-handed hitter hit a two-run homer to center field in the bottom of the fifth inning to tie the game at 9-9. Showing a keen eye, drawing two walks as well. Flat bat path easy, with clear intent to elevate the ball to the middle of the field. Behind the plate, he is a natural defender with confidence, to pair with catch and throw abilities. - Michael Anderson, from April 25, 2025

Connor Harvie, C/DH, Waterford, 2025; Wisconsin-Milwaukee
The Wisconsin-Milwaukee commit showcases an athletic and strong 5-foot-10, 185-pound frame. Due to a recent stretch of games, Connor Harvie took a break from catching duties and served as the designated hitter. At the plate, Harvie went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, collecting three hits in four at-bats. He features quick hands, a soft footstrike, and a controlled stride. Harvie excels in the leadoff spot, consistently finding ways to get on base. - Michael Anderson, from April 11, 2025

Matthew Koo, OF/C, Whitnall, 2025
Uncommitted, Lean and athletic 5-foot-8, 157 pound build with strength. Standout bat in the win over Muskego going 3-4 on the day. Simple all around actions at the plate, with a quick twitch hand trigger. Hitterish ability, showing well against one of the top arms in the state. Matthew would deliver a double and a pair of singles on the day. Defensively in left field, Koo plays with energy and provides reliable defense at the spot, while being a natural catcher showing versatility across the diamond. - Stephaune Haylock, from April 5, 2025

Terek Verhage, C, Monona Grove, 2025
St. Thomas commit, currently the No. 13 ranked prospect in the state’s senior class, standing at 5-foot-11, 173 pounds with room to add to the frame. Verhage started behind the plate and hit third in the Silver Eagle lineup, going 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a walk and a stolen base. The left-handed hitter has seemingly ticked up at the plate, with an easy, smooth swing with consistent feel for the barrel and increasing feel to drive the ball in the air. Defensively, Verhage controls the run game, threw out a potential base stealer in the fourth, showing advanced catch and throw traits that translate to the next level to pair with strong, sure hands behind the plate. - Josh Fields, from April 12, 2025

Peter Visconti II, C, St. Joseph, 2025
Wisconsin-Milwaukee recruit, currently ranked No. 25 in the state. Strong 5-foot-10, 185-pound frame. Hit leadoff and while starting behind the plate for the Lancers. Direct, right-handed swing with a knack for finding the barrel and using the entire field, went 2-for-3 on the day with a walk. Defensively, a confident defender that with a strong arm, keeps the run-game in check, threw a runner out at third to end an inning. - Josh Fields, from April 3, 2025

INFIELDERS

Austin Arnold, SS, Mukwonago, 2025; Milwaukee Area Technical College
Arnold would show an intriguing profile that makes him a name to follow as he attends MATC next year. The shortstop would show fluid footwork on the dirt with athleticism that plays up. At the plate, the left-handed bat presents an upright, slightly open stance before launching into a balanced position via leg kick. An athletic 5-foot-10, 143-pound frame with surprising strength, there is clear room for physical development. - Charles Frady, from April 19, 2025

Brady Barman, INF, Waunakee, 2025
Brady Barman, with his athletic and strong 5-foot-11, 185-pound frame, had an impressive day at the plate for Waunakee. He went 3-for-3 with a walk, driving in five RBIs and scoring four runs. His first plate appearance was a double down the left-field line, and his final at-bat was a two-RBI single to center field that ended the game 16-6 via the ten-run rule. Barman sees the ball well and showcases a rhythmic, easy swing. As an uncommitted senior, he's definitely someone to keep an eye on this spring. - Michael Anderson, from April 14, 2025

Anthony Chapman, 1B, Waterford, 2025
Anthony Chapman displays strength and power in his 6-foot, 210-pound frame. At the plate, Chapman went 2-for-2 with a walk, four RBIs, and a run scored, showcasing his power by launching a grand slam to center field in the bottom of the third inning to extend Waterford’s lead by seven. He features a short, compact swing that allows him to efficiently tap into his strength. Defensively, he’s a solid blocker at first base with athletic actions around the bag. - Michael Anderson, from April 19, 2025

Kaden Connor, INF, Monona Grove, 2025
North Dakota State commit, currently the No. 18th ranked prospect in the state’s senior class, listed at 6-foot-1, 172 pounds with room for added strength. Started at shortstop and hit second, going 1-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. At the plate, the left-handed hitter swings a smooth bat, working in sync with rhythm staying inside the baseball. Showing increased feel to leverage the ball in the air and tapping into more game power, something that should continue to tick up as he matures into his frame. Defensively, Connor is a quality defender at both spots on the left-side of the infield, showing fluid and athletic actions with some range and more than enough arm strength to play at both spots. - Josh Fields, from April 12, 2025

Connor Curtis, INF, Waukesha North, 2025
Wisconsin-La Crosse recruit, currently ranked No. 158 in the state’s senior class, standing at 5-foot-11, 210 pounds. Started at third and hit third in the lineup, going 3-for-4 with six RBIs, three doubles, two runs and a walk. At the plate, the right-handed hitter swings a strong barrel with plenty of strength behind each swing, showing feel to use the entire field. Defensively the infielder is a reliable defender at either spot in the corner infield with plenty of arm strength to stick at third. - Josh Fields, from April 18, 2025

Andrew Dodge, SS, St. Thomas More, 2025
Andrew Dodge displays an athletic and projectable frame. At the plate against Kaukauna, Dodge went 2-for-4 with a walk, two RBIs, and a run scored from the leadoff spot. He showcased a smooth, level swing and the ability to get out of the batter’s box quickly. A threat on the base paths, he also stole two bases during the game. Defensively, Dodge looked natural at shortstop, showing soft hands and good lateral quickness. - Michael Anderson, from April 19, 2025

Layson Fabisiak, INF, Kettle Moraine, 2025
Kankakee CC commit, currently ranked No. 124 in the state’s senior class, listed at 5-foot-8, 162 pounds with strength throughout the frame. Started at third base and hit three hole for the Lasers, going 1-for-3 at the plate with two RBIs and a run scored. The left-handed hitter is a tough out at the plate with easy and natural bat-to-ball instincts, while showing feel to use the entire field and drive the ball on a line. Defensively, the defense is already an asset at third with confident actions and enough arm strength to stick on that side of the field. - Josh Fields, from April 11, 2025

Max Glusick, MIF, Sun Prairie East, 2025
Wisconsin-Milwaukee recruit, currently ranked No. 40 in the state’s senior class, athletic and compact 5-foot-8, 165 pound frame. Started at shortstop and hit second for the Cardinals in the season opener. The right-handed hitter came away with three hits in the day, using the entire field throughout, natural operation in the box with innate bat-to-ball ability, not swinging and missing at all throughout the matchup. Defensively, Glusick plays with contagious energy while showing steady actions at short making plays on the move with ease. - Josh Fields, from April 5, 2025

Adam Kudronowicz, 1B, Mukwonago, 2025; Iowa Western CC
Kudronowicz would have a solid day at the plate for his Mukwonago squad, collecting both a home run and double across two at-bats with 4 RBIs and one run scored. The left-handed hitter showed a loft-based approach, looking to do damage in any count. Presenting a slightly open stance, Kudronowicz has his weight shifted on his back leg before getting into a more balanced position in stride. Strong 6-foot-2, 217-pound frame. - Charles Frady, from April 19, 2025

Joe Landgraf, 1B, Hartford, 2025
An uncommitted senior with a versatile defensive profile, Landgraf, would show plus athleticism at first base during Hartford's first game on Saturday. Offensively, the right-handed hitter would have a productive day, going 3-for-5 with a double, 6 RBIs, and three runs scored. A quality AB machine, Landgraf's versatility, baseball IQ, and grittiness make him an intriguing uncommitted senior bat. 6-foot, 196-pound frame with present strength and athleticism. - Charles Frady, from April 19, 2025

Onyu Lee, SS, Franklin, 2025
Onyu Lee possesses exceptional athleticism. At the plate against Nicolet, he came through in the bottom of the fifth inning with the bases loaded, driving a double to the opposite field to plate two runs and extend the lead to 5-0. He shows strong hands, a direct bat path, and a good feel for the barrel. Defensively, he has quick feet and works through the ball well at shortstop. Lee is a valuable asset to any team and continues to project at a high level. - Michael Anderson, from April 19, 2025

Jack Lutz, SS, Whitnall, 2025
South Florida recruit, currently ranked No. 6 in the state. Standing at 5-foot-10, 145 pounds with clear room to add to the frame. Started at shortstop and hit second in the lineup for the Falcons, going 1-for-3 at the plate with a mature approach, with natural bat-to-ball traits having made contact every time he swung the bat. Twitchy athlete, with an advanced skillset both offensively and defensively. Smooth and athletic actions with range defensively with enough arm strength to stick at shortstop moving forward. The left-handed hitting shortstop is a rising prospect in the region and a follow for this year’s MLB draft. - Stephaune Haylock & Josh Fields, from April 5, 2025

Dom Najacht, MIF, Monona Grove, 2025
St. Mary’s MN commit, currently the No. 95th ranked player in the state’s senior class, listed at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds with more room for added strength. Najacht started at second base and hit sixth for Monona Grove, going 2-for-3 at the plate with a walk and two runs scored. The right-handed hitter was on the barrel across all of his at-bats, with a simple and strong right-handed swing. Defensively the infielder plays with confident and fluid actions showing range and arm strength to play either position in the middle infield. - Josh Fields, from April 12, 2025

Brady Patten, INF/DH, Verona, 2025; Saint Mary's MN
Brady Patten showcases a strong and powerful 6-foot-2, 232-pound frame. At the plate, he was perfect on the day, going 2-for-2 with two RBIs. In the first inning, he roped a double down the left-field line, followed by a two-RBI single in the second. He features strong hands and a swing geared to elevate the ball. Not only is Patten a threat at the plate, but he’s also off to a terrific start on the mound this spring. - Michael Anderson, from April 14, 2025

Joseph Suokko, 1B, Westosha Central, 2025; UW Parkside
Wisconsin-Parkside recruit, currently the No. 71st ranked player in the state’s senior class, listed at a front 6-foot-4, 201 pound frame. Suokko had a solid day at the plate, going 2-for-4 with multiple hits. In the bottom of the eighth inning, with a runner on base, he delivered a walk-off single to center field. Defensively, he was agile at first base, not letting anything get past him. - Michael Anderson, from April 10, 2025

Leo Weist, 3B, Union Grove, 2025
Uncommitted, listed at 5-foot-9, 150 pounds with room to add to his frame. The right-handed hitter had a strong day at the plate collecting multiple hits, including a triple in the second inning and driving in a run. Level swing with quick hands that extend through the zone. Defensively the Weist is quick with athleticism to pair with reliable actions at third. - Mike Anderson, from April 10, 2025

Greyson Zach, INF, Pewaukee, 2025
Minnesota commit. Currently ranked No. 22 in the state. Physically imposing 6-foot-3, 215-pound frame. Batted second and played first base. A right-handed hitter, he impressed by putting up quality at-bats throughout the game while showing minimal swing and miss, and the ability to be on the barrel. - Tyler Defibaugh, from April 12, 2025

Jack Zeller, SS, Indian Trail, 2025
Zeller would go 2-for-4 with a double and singular RBI during Indian Trail's second game on Saturday. The left-handed bat continued to show aptitude at the plate with above-average barrel control and an all-fields approach. Still uncommitted, Zeller remains a high-follow senior throughout Wisconsin's prep ranks. - Charles Frady, from April 19, 2025

One of the best remaining uncommitted Senior bats, Zeller would go 1-for-4 during Indian Trail's first game on Saturday, with his singular knock coming during a two-strike count in which he incorporated a no-stride load. Presenting a balanced stock setup and higher hands, the left-handed bat continued to show loose, quick hands and above-average barrel control. Athletic 6-foot, 182-pound frame with room for added strength. - Charles Frady, from April 19, 2025

OUTFIELDERS

Drew Dobberstein, OF, Pewaukee, 2025
Evangel commit. Currently ranked No. 153 in the state. Lean 6-foot, 190-pound frame. Batted leadoff and played centerfield for Pewaukee. A right-handed hitter, he showed a very patient and mature approach at the plate - working quality at-bats seemingly every time up to bat. He showed minimal chase and the ability to not expand the zone and take his walks. He showed strong hands and a direct path in his first at-bat where he laced a line-drive single into left field. He additionally showed to be a reliable defender in centerfield, and should be able to stick there at the next level. - Tyler Defibaugh, from April 12, 2025

Grant Lokken, OF, Eau Claire Memorial, 2025
Southeastern CC recruit, currently ranked No. 107 in the state’s senior class, listed at an athletic 5-foot-10, 165 pounds, Lokken started in center field and hit in the three hole for the ‘Abes while going 1-for-3 at the plate with a double. Lokken has been one of the top bats for the ‘Abes since he made varsity, hitterish look in the box taking a direct path to the baseball with easy bat-to-ball skills. Defensively Lokken takes correct and efficient routes to the baseball, with enough range to play all three spots at the next level. - Josh Fields, from April 12, 2025

Jackson Reno, CF, Oconomowoc, 2025
Reno presents a wiry 6-foot, 154-pound frame with present athleticism that played well in center for Oconomowoc. At the plate, the uncommitted senior would go 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs. The right-handed hitter presents an athletic, upright base and incorporates a leg lift trigger to get into a position of launch with loose hands through contact. - Charles Frady, from April 19, 2025

Carson Sieler, CF, Westosha Central, 2025
Milwaukee Area Technical JC commit, currently ranked at No. 63 in the state’s senior class, strong and athletically built at 5-foot-10, 184 pounds. Played center field and hit leadoff for the Falcons, getting on base consistently throughout going 3-for-4 on the day with a run scored. The left-handed hitter went 3-for-4 and scored a run. He features a loose, fluid swing that stays level through the zone. Defensively, he’s quick and athletic, tracking down every ball hit in his direction. - Mike Anderson, from April 11, 2025

Alek Southworth, OF, Reedsburg, 2025
Uncommitted. 6-foot, 180-pound frame with some present strength throughout. Batted third and played centerfield for the Beavers. Defensively, he showed easy range for the position and can cover ground from gap-to-gap, and showed to be an advanced defender throughout the game. A right-handed hitter, he has a hitterish look about him in the box, and showed some barrel strength with a loud double in his final at-bat that nearly left the yard. An uncommitted senior for schools to know. - Tyler Defibaugh, from April 12, 2025

Carter Thompson, CF, Waterford, 2025
Carter Thompson possesses impressive strength in his 6-foot-4, 220-pound frame. At the plate, Thompson went 2-for-2 with a walk, four RBIs, and a run scored, including a solo home run to center field in the third inning. He showcases strong hands and a quick bat, consistently finding the barrel. In the outfield, he moves well and tracks down balls with ease, displaying his athleticism. Thompson is a valuable asset to any team he plays for. - Michael Anderson, from April 19, 2025

Braeden Vogds. RF, Mukwonago, 2025
Vogds would continue to hit during his second game Saturday as the left-handed bat's base-clearing double during the third inning acted as the prominent offensive momentum for Mukwonago. An uncommitted senior, there is a lot to like about Vogds' offensive profile thanks to a hitterish presence in the box and willingness to trust his twitchy hands. - Charles Frady, from April 19, 2025

One of the biggest takeaways from this past weekend at the Rock was uncommitted senior outfielder Braeden Vogds, who showed a quality offensive profile with a pretty left-handed swing, line-drive approach, and strong 6-foot-1, 200-pound frame. Previously unknown to our staff, Vogds would show well during Mukwonago's first game on Saturday, going 2-for-4 with his biggest hit being his opposite-field home run in the 7th. Presenting a slightly open stance and athletic base, he showed a willingness to take the ball the other way with explosive hands throughout contact. Vogds immediately becomes a must-know uncommitted senior name for college coaches. - Charles Frady, from April 19, 2025

TWO-WAYS

Eli Bryant, INF/RHP, Beaver Dam, 2025
Kent State recruit, currently ranked No. 22 in the state’s senior class, listed at 6-foot-2, 206 pounds with strength throughout the frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter went 1-for-1 with two walks—one of which was intentional. Strong hands with a quick bat with a level swing path showing feel for the barrel. Bryant also closed out the game on the mound in the seventh inning, allowing no hits or walks. His fastball topped out at 89 mph, sitting comfortably at 86–88 mph with bore. - Michael Anderson, from April 22, 2025

Sam Hirthe, RHP/SS, New Berlin Eisenhower, 2025
Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 34 in the state. Athletic 6-foot, 171-pound frame. Got the ball to start the game for the Lions. Struck out five batters across three innings giving up three hits and two walks. Easy fluid delivery that he repeats regularly, arm action stands out paired with feel for three pitches. The fastball sat 88-89 mph with life out of the hand, scattered command early. The secondaries flash out-pitch potential, a sharp two-plane breaking ball at 78-79 mph paired with a heavy fading changeup in the mid-80s. One of the top uncommitted right-handers in the area and a rising talent in the state’s senior class. - Josh Fields, from April 3, 2025

Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 34 in the state’s senior class, listed at a projectable 6-foot, 172 pound frame. At the plate, he was perfect, going 2-for-2 with a walk. The left-handed hitters first hit was a single to second base in the first inning, followed by a 2-RBI double on a line drive to center field in the second. He looks relaxed at the plate with loose hands and shows an aggressive, natural presence in the field. - Michael Anderson, from April 25, 2025

Carter Kutz, 3B/RHP, Hartford Union, 2025
Nebraska commit, one of the top seniors in the state and an MLB draft follow. Listed at a strong and still projectable 6-foot-1, 185 pounds. Started at third base and hit second for the Orioles, going 1-for-3 at the plate with a double while putting together multiple high end swings at the plate. History of performing, even against velo and spin, Kutz is a natural hitter from the right side that works in sync with rhythm with feel to drive the baseball in the air with authority. Defensively the actions continue to tick up at third, becoming more confident in the position while maintaining more than enough arm strength to continue to stick at the position moving forward. - Josh Fields, from April 11, 2025

Kutz would provide our staff with an interesting look on the mound during his two innings save, in which he collected four strikeouts while allowing no runs and only one hit. The right-handed arm would showcase a two-pitch mix that would include an upper-80s-low-90s fastball that would top out at 92 mph and was paired with a mid-60s breaking ball. - Charles Frady, from April 19, 2025

The top position player in Wisconsin's senior class would act as the prominent offensive catalyst for his Hartford squad, showing a controlled, aggressive approach across six plate appearances, going 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs, four runs scored, and three walks. Kutz would also show above-average tendencies and awareness on the bases, collecting two stolen bases against the no. 1 backstop in Wisconsin's senior class. 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame with present strength. - Charles Frady, from April 19, 2025

Luke Schlosser, INF/RHP, Oconomowoc, 2025
Rock Valley JC commit, currently ranked No. 47 in the state’s senior class. Still projectable, standing at 5-foot-10, 142 pounds. Started at short and hit in the five spot for the Raccoons in the win against one of the top teams in the state. Defensively, Schlosser plays with natural actions making a number of plays with ease on the day, average range to both sides with arm strength that plays up and will continue to play from the left-side moving forward. At the plate, the left-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day with feel for the barrel. On the mound Schlosser got the win in relief, striking out three across two innings allowing one hit. The arm action works on the mound, running his fastball up to 89 mph multiple times while spinning a quality breaking ball in the low-70s. - Josh Fields, from April 12, 2025

Rock Valley JC recruit, currently ranked inside the top-50 inside the state’s senior class, listed at a projectable and twitchy 5-foot-10, 142 pound frame. Started at shortstop and hit fifth in the Oconomowoc lineup, going 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. The left-handed hitter is swinging a hot bat to start, consistently getting his “A” swing off while making more contact this spring with more game power showing up early. Defensively at shortstop, Schlosser plays with athletic actions and steady hands with enough arm strength to stick on the left-side of the infield. - Josh Fields, from April 15, 2025

Manny Sostre, RHP/LF, St. Thomas More, 2025
Manny Sostre possesses a projectable and athletic 6-foot-3 frame. The long-limbed two-way player collected two hits, a walk, two RBIs, and a run scored from the two-hole. The left-handed batter showcases a smart approach at the plate. With two strikes, Sostre shortened up his swing and drove a double to the opposite field, plating two runs. Defensively, he covers plenty of ground in left field and features a strong arm. - Michael Anderson, from April 19, 2025

PITCHERS

Ethan Bauerschmidt, RHP, Tremper, 2025
Penn State recruit, currently ranked No. 4 in the state. Premier athlete, standing at 6-foot-3, 178 pounds with added physical strength. Started the game on the mound with multiple MLB scouts in attendance, struck out six across four innings, diving up six hits and two earned runs. Despite the stateline, this was the best our staff had seen Bauerschmidt to date with a near 70% strike rate. The fastball cruised in the low-90s throughout the outing, maintaining velocity late, while touching 93 mph in the first inning. The breaking ball stands out, 79-82 mph with sharp two-plane break and unwavering confidence in the offering, inducing multiple swings-and-misses in and out of the zone. Rounding off his arsenal was a 88-89 mph sinker that he used exclusively against left-handed hitters, while flashing both a mid-80s cutter and low-80s changeup. - Josh Fields, from April 3, 2025

Ryan Brennecke, LHP, Oconomowoc, 2025
Wake Forest recruit, one of the top left-handed pitchers in the Midwest, currently ranked No. 3 in the state’s senior class, standing at 6-foot-1, 214 pound with strength throughout the frame. Got the start on the mound in front of multiple pro scouts in a big pitching matchup against Kussow. Struck out five batters across four scoreless innings, walking one batter, allowing one hit, filled up the with four pitches, running his fastball up to 92 mph early while working in the 88-91 mph bucket throughout. Spun two different breaking balls, a curveball at 74-76 mph with feel to land and an upper-70s slider with two plane action, showed a changeup at 83-84 mph. - Josh Fields, from April 15, 2025

Sawyer Deering, RHP, Kimberly, 2025

Dobberstein filled the zone with both offerings and limited hard contact throughout his start. Gass showed consistent feel to locate his pitches throughout the zone, have a strike rate north of 70% on the outing. Simple delivery for the right-hander, showing natural feel to repeat both the delivery and the arm action. Mostly two pitches in this look, both pitches working off of each other, locating a low-80s fastball at the top of the zone, spotting both glove and armside. Klun got the ball to start the game, tossing a complete game shutout while carrying a no-hitter into the sixth inning, allowing one hit and walking one while striking out four batters. Working in the zone with his entire arsenal and while inducing weak contact often, the fastball held velo at 80-82 mph with feel to locate throughout the zone and rarely missing in the middle. Kussow struck out seven batters across four innings, walking two while locating each pitch in the one for strikes. Deceptive delivery, working crossfire to the plate with a loose/funky arm action hiding the ball. The fastball reached 95 mph holding 91-94 mph throughout the outing, locating the pitch to different spots throughout the zone, spinning one of the best breaking balls in the state at 83-86 with two-plane action, go-to offering when ahead inducing multiple swings and misses throughout. Known for pitchability heading into the start, showing louder stuff with a ticked up fastball at 83-86 mph with life through the zone, to pair with a sharp, swing and miss curveball with command and a fading changeup at 77-79 mph. He worked though Muskego’s lineup three times, keeping hitters off-balance with a barrage of offspeed pitches in and around the zone, the breaking ball played with two-plane action in the mid-60s.
