INF Jake Fuchs (Westosha Central, 2028) showcased apparent athleticism on both sides of the ball. Natural, effortless movements in the infield, consistently able to get the ball out of the glove and get the throw off without wasting any movement both to the forehand and backhand. Simple, repeatable right-handed swing with line drive tendencies. Athletic 5-foot-9, 139-pound frame with plenty of room to continue to fill out.

INF Jake Fuchs (Westosha Central, 2028) is another name that is going to really pop once he adds to his frame. Fuchs, another high baseball IQ type impressed both offensively and defensively. His line drive approach from the right side of the plate was on display throughout the round showing a real feel for timing and feel for the barrel. On defense, Fuchs’ actions and fluidity really impressed our staff on Sunday. He showcased his range to both sides with his soft hands indicating that he will be able to stick up the middle in the future.

Fuchs works with high hands and a narrow set-up into an up-and-down stride, gaining ground toward the pitcher. His swing is well-sequenced with rhythm and feel for the barrel, leading to easy extension through the ball. His defense was smooth with quick feet and soft hands, showing range and clean actions. The arm came out of a ¾ slot with looseness and accuracy.
