This was my first time getting to see Owodunni in person after not being able to make it out to Berkeley High School this season. He's been on the radar for a bit but after this weekend, I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts to get a little more notice than usual. Owodunni is a very physical kid who stands at 6’2 210 lbs, walking in his physicality. During the 60 YD Dash of the workout, Owodunni ran a 6.9 with a max speed of 19.7 mph, along with a vertical jump score of 26.3 inches. Owodunni’s hitting was very impressive during the BP park of the workout, he had a max exit velocity of 102.5 mph and an average velocity of 91.2 mph. A lot of his balls were hit to the big part of the field, his barrel stays through the zone for a long time causing him to get a ton of hits. Lots of backspin comes with his swing, his BP was very fun to watch. On the defensive side Owodunni has a strong arm behind the plate along with accuracy around the bag. His top velocity behind the dish was at 80 mph with pop times between 1.94 and 2.03. Owodunni continued to impress everyone during the game, when he secured two hits off of some really talented arms. One of his hits was a hanging curveball that was mashed over the left center field fence for a home run, there was not much hitting going on early since the arms were all very quality. Owodunni has speed, can defend, and he comes with a bat. I can see why USD is so high on him, plus he’s a great kid to chat it up with.
