Every look at Horn has been a fun watch this year. He puts on a show with his barrel control and outstanding coverage of the plate. He works counts, leverages pitches, and sprays the baseball with authority around the field. This game was just another show, as he went 3-4 with a HR and two base knocks. Horn started off the day out of the leadoff spot, taking pitches close to the zone and fouling off pitches. He ended the QAB getting the barrel out in front of the outer half for a 1B, displaying his ability to cover the zone. His HR would come in his next at-bat, getting lift on a pitch slightly below the zone, pulling it towards RCF. Horn has a simple swing with a slight toe tap, but his quick/violent actions give him an advantage at the plate. Consistently ready to hit and having a direct bat path really gives the ability for Horn to see pitches deep. He is a hitter that will consistently find the barrel, whether he is out in front or just late on a pitch, his quick actions and keen eye allow him to be a dangerous hitter at the plate, and that continues to show every game I attend.
