LOS ANGELES, CALIF. - With the chaotic summer circuit portion of the baseball calendar in the state of California completed, our staff was able to get eyes on players through Prep Baseball California events, the tournament circuit, and several other opportunities. One of the busiest periods of the year allowed our staff to observe the continued improvement/development of players in the 2026 class. With all of that visibility provided to our staff for opportunities to evaluate players over the last couple of months, we present our updated Class of 2026 Player Rankings.
With the continued exposure provided this spring for our staff to the 2026 class we saw quite a bit of change across the rankings. From movement within the Top 10 players in the class, players moving into the Prep Baseball National Rankings and others making their Top 100 debuts (movement up the board or newcomers to the rankings) through their summer performances.
Beyond the Top 100, we have seen several players continue their rise up the rankings and several players coming into the rankings for the first time after this summer. This entire class is now prepping for their final fall of travel baseball/high school scrimmage baseball games with their senior high school baseball season rapidly approaching.
The recruiting process for this class is entering the final push over the coming months so we anticipate the uncommitted players across these rankings begin to announce their college destinations. Also, this class is now directly in the focal point for MLB scouts having gone through the summer circuit and over the next 10 months until the 2026 MLB draft arrives.
Below you'll find the Top 10, Top 10 Uncommitted Players, along with notes on Rankings Risers and Ranking Newcomers.

CLASS OF 2026 RANKINGS: RISERS
TOP-10 RISERS:
+ LHP/1B Logan Schmidt Ganesha High School (uncommitted): Previous: class of 2027 #2 Now: class of 2026 #2
Schmidt was already highly ranked within the 2027 class, but elected to reclassify into the 2026 class this summer and the electric armed southpaw has not missed a beat after that move. Armed with a mid-upper 90's FB with the feel for his CHG and an upper 70's slurve like slider, he was dominant across the summer circuit including a two inning stint at Area Codes where he punched out four hitters without allowing a hit. Schmidt, who is currently uncommitted, will likely have his choice of college suitors, but also has put himself into the mix for a potential Day selection in the MLB draft.
+ RHP Jensen Hirschkorn Kingsburg High School (uncommitted): Previous: #22 Now: #3
Hirschkorn was a member of the Team California 2024 Prep Baseball Future Games squad where he showed flashes off his tantalizing potential, then the 6'7 athletic righthander missed time on the scene before returning this spring with a solid high school season. But, Hirschkorn re-announced his presence on the national scene throughout the summer highlighted by one of the most dominant appearances seen at Area Codes not just this year, but in recent memory. Jensen faced nine hitters and punched all nine hitters out with his easy operation on the mound and simple arm action where he pitched at 93-95 on his FB touching 96 while inducing whiff/chase on his slider and tossing in an intriguing changeup. With projection in his frame still ahead, Hirschkorn makes a rapid rise back up our board into the Top 5 players in the class.
+ SS James Clark St. John Bosco High School (Princeton Commit): Previous: #38 Now: #4
Clark began his move up the 2026 board with a standout spring season at St. John Bosco where he earned the Trinity League Player of the Year honor while leading the Braves to a CIF-SS D1 title. But, the athletic LH hitter was not done there and went out to light up the summer circuit. Everywhere Clark went his feel to hit with authority was on display with consistent upper 90's exit velocities all around the field even topping the 100 MPH mark against elite level arms. With a long term up the middle defense profile that looks to have what it takes to stick at shortstop, Clark makes another massive jump up or board inside the Top 5.
+ 3B/RHP Archer Horn St. Ignatius High School (Stanford Commit): Previous: #10 Now: #5
Horn pushed himself into the Top 10 at this time last year and has bumped around the back end of the Top 10, but the hitterish LH hitter from NorCal put on a display throughout the summer. He shows high level pitching ability, but it was his bat this summer that helped push him into the Top 5 players in the class in this update. Horn was impresssive for a trio of Prep Baseball evaluators during the Area Code Games from VP of Scouting Shooter Hunt to California State Director Les Lukach and Associate Director SoCal Steven Hardesty, Horn did nothing but drive baseballs around the field at Long Beach State's Blair Field for all three.
+ RHP Logan Georges Clovis High School (TCU Commit): Previous: #19 Now: #9
Any arm following up the performance of Hirschkorn at Area Codes was going to have a difficult time equaling, but Georges did an outstanding job of creating his own buzz. Throwing three innings, Georges attacked with a fastball working in the mid 90's while spinning off a power low 80's breaking ball, while flashing feel for a changeup. Georges punched out five hitters across his outing. Georges missed time with an injury, but returned to the mound this spring at Clovis High School where he impressed for Associate Director Hank LoForte and then over the summer cirucit put on outstanding performances across the circuit and makes his move back into the Top 10 players in the state this fall.
TOP-100 RISERS:
+ OF DJ Delaney St. Ignatius High School (Nevada-Reno Commit): Previous: #53 Now: #29
Delaney is a NorCal based LH hitting OF who first jumped onto the radar this spring with an impressive showing in front of Shooter Hunt and Associate Director Hank LoForte. Then over the summer circuit Delaney continued to hit and hit and hit every time our staff had a chance to get eyes on him including an impressive showing at Area Codes. Delaney parlayed his performance into an University of Nevada-Reno commit and sees himself move up inside the Top 30 players in the class.
+ RHP/1B Colten Rainer Royal High School (UCLA Commit): Previous: #212 Now: #39
Rainer has mainly played 1B at Royal High School for the last two years of high school baseball showing a sound profile there, but didn't have many opportunities to showcase his potential on the bump. The righthander made significant strides in the months following the completion of the high school baseball season to his frame (added significant strength) and to his pitching arsenal. The last live look at him on the mound for Steven Hardesty saw him in the mid 80's with his FB and the makings of a sound breaking ball, but Rainer stepped on the bump at the Brewers Area Codes Tryout for Hardesty pumping the low-90's while showing an improved feel for spin. Earning a spot on the Brewers roster he was outstanding during his Area Code Games outing reaching 94 on his fastball, spinning an 83-86 MPH slider and dropping in his changeup in the mid 80's. Rainer moves way back up our board inside the Top 40 players in the state and picked up a UCLA commit to close out his summer.
+ RHP Kai Bratton Mater Dei High School (Tennessee Commit): Previous: #68 Now: #49
Bratton has sat just outside the Top 50 players over the course of the last year, but the Mater Dei righthander pushes his way in to the Top 50 now on the back of a strong summer showing. With his fastball velocity working into the 90 MPH range with spin rates above 2400 RPM and spinning one of the hardest sliders to face in the class at 77-79 MPH including spin rates north of 3100 RPM. Bratton was dominant during his outing at Area Codes. Righthanded hitters were helpless against Bratton's slider inducing chase/whiff consistently while he managed his way through the lefthanded hitters with his fastball and backfooting the sliders. It was a strong statement to close the strong summer for Bratton ahead of his senior season.
+ SS/3B Drew Hamburger Homestead High School (Uncommitted): Previous: #142 Now: #96
The NorCal based Hamburger made a push for a spot on the 2024 Team California squad at the Prep Baseball Future Games, but fell just short of an invitation. After a strong showing in the spring which pushed him inside the Top 150 players in the state, Hamburger earned his way onto the West Coast squad for the 2025 Prep Baseball Senior Future Games. Hamburger was outstanding during his time in Georgia where he posted multiple extra base hits with his strong offensive approach, athletic profile, strength in his frame and the tools to be a strong defender at third base. The uncommitted product makes his debut inside the Top 100.
+ RHP Kelley Crawford Serra High School (Cal Poly Commit): Previous: #211 Now: #97
The Bay Area based righthander with a Cal Poly commitment makes a significant move back up the board to the Top 100 after a strong summer showing. Crawford earned his way to the Area Code Games after a strong spring for Serra, but his three innings on the mound in front of Les Lukach were impressive. Showing high quality stuff including an upper 80's to low 90's fastball and an impressive top tier 78-80 MPH slider with spin rates approaching 3000 RPMs. Crawford has an athletic operation, feel to make adjustments in game with the delivery, frame and projection in his profile to be a potential high level starter at the next level.
OUTSIDE-TOP-100 RISERS:
+ LHP/OF Isaiah Tillman Royal High School (Uncommitted): Previous: #143 Now: #129
Tillman shows off a strong two-way profile and has consistently hovered in the 150 range for our rankings, but the Royal High School product showed off all summer with strong performances from the travel ball circuit to his time at the 2025 Prep Baseball Senior Future Games for Team West Coast. The southpaw took the bump first for the West Coast team and tossed two strong innings with four strikeouts before going on to reach base multiple times over the next two games, all while playing strong defense across the OF. His fastball will reach the low 90's while living in the upper 80's with riding life that pairs to his three pitch offspeed mix (SLD/CB/CHG). Tillman showed a strong lefthanded hitting offensive profile consistently all summer long he makes another move up our board to the 129 spot.
+ RHP Owen Shannon Mater Dei High School (Uncommitted): Previous: #202 Now: #152
An imposing 6'8 righthander out of the Trinity League, Shannon has been inconsistent at times, but this summer he showed off the tantalizing upside to his profile. First, he was electric during his outing at the Future Games Tryout: Central California working into the upper 80's with his fastball and spinning a low 80's slider with power in the shape. From there he earned a spot on Team West Coast at the Senior Future Games, but before making it to Georgia he continued to string together strong performances over the tournament circuit including running his fastball into the low 90's. Once he took the mound in Georgia, the Mater Dei product took advantage of his two innings to showcase his impressive feel to spin the ball reaching 2600+ on his fastball with riding life up in the zone while spinning his slider above 2900 RPMs nearing 3000 RPMs. With overall intriguing profile, Shannon moves just outside the Top 150 and is a name to know in the uncommitted ranks in the state of California.
+ C Cole Studt Highland High School (Uncommitted): Previous: #230 Now: #155
Studt joined our rankings after a standout spring at Highland High School where he earned team and Golden League MVP honors (third year in a row a Bulldog has won the MVP). But, this summer he took another step forward with his showing across various elements of the summer circuit. Studt was strong during his performance at the Future Games Tryout: Central California narrowly missing a spot on Team West Coast, but earned a spot at the 2025 Prep Baseball California State Games where he picked up a trio of knocks in three games while showing the in-game tools to stay at catcher long term. In between, and outside of both of those events, Studt has been a consistent impact offensive piece from the left side and his overall collection of ability pushes him up the board to the 155 spot.
+ OF Riley Ortega Pacifica High School (Uncommitted): Previous: #335 Now: #251
Ortega has been a two-year starter for the Pacifica Tritons program in Oxnard, California while spending time playing football in the off-season. This year he has elected to focus on baseball and the long-term centerfield profile defender made strong strides to his overall resume. Adding strength to his athletic frame, Ortega showed off a strong overall profile at the 2025 State Games where he ran a 6.89 60 with an accurate throwing arm to go with a mid-90's exit velocity from a quick swing. Ortega would reach base six times over seven plate appearances with three hits including one inside the park HR (showing off his run tool), drove in four runs, stole two bases and played stellar defense all over the OF. He also added three walks. The ceiling continues to rise for Ortega as a name to be on the lookout for in the 2026 uncommitted ranks moving up 84 spots on the board.
+ RHP Griffin Vorhaus Novato High School (Pomona-Pitzer Commit): Previous: #334 Now: #257
Vorhaus just continues to perform at a high level any chance our staff has the ability to get eyes on him. During the 2024 summer he earned his way into the rankings for the first time after a strong showing at the Prep Baseball California State Games at that time. Over the course of the next 12 months the NorCal product continued to develop and improve his overall tools sitting in the mid-80's with his fastball which now reaches the upper 80's while attacking hitters in the zone at a high level with a high-70's curveball that flashes power. Vorhaus took the bump all summer long and pitched to a high level including a seven strikeout performance over 15 hitters at the 2025 California State Games. Combining his high level baseball ability with top end academics, Vorhaus has committed to the high-academic D3 power program Pomona-Pitzer to continue his baseball career on top of a 77 spot jump up the board.
CLASS OF 2026 RANKINGS: NEWCOMERS
TOP-100 NEWCOMERS:
+ RHP/OF Seddrick Henderson Berkeley High School (Uncommitted): Now Ranked: #57
Henderson has showed flashes of his potential, but this summer the wiry athletic righthander from NorCal made his presence felt with performance on top of his tools. Showing an athletic, loose operation on the mound and a FB which now resides in the low 90's, he dominanted during his four innings of work at the Area Code Games with three Ks and no hits allowed. This was on the back of a strong summer across the circuit where his pitching performances were consistently strong and he even showcased impressive athletic ability in the outfield. Henderson moves into the 57th spot on the rankings and has the makings and profile that could make another rise before his high school career concludes.
+ LHP Robby Zimmerman Redondo Union High School (UCLA Commit): Now Ranked: #59
A physically imposing southpaw from the Redondo Union program, Zimmerman made big strides over the course of the last 12 months going from the low 80's with his fastball and mid-60's with his curveball to the upper 80's with the FB while touching the low 90's and now spinning a low to mid 70's CB with power potential. He put together a strong showing in the summer portion of the baseball calendar earning his way to a UCLA commit and now joins our 2026 class rankings in the 59 spot.
OUTSIDE-TOP 100 NEWCOMERS:
+ RHP Jack McGuire Villa Park High School (Uncommitted): Now Ranked: #142
The 6'4 projectable RHP was outstanding all 2025 earning a Pitcher of the Year award during his junior campaign at Villa Park High School and then strong all summer long. He capped his strong start to the calendar season with a dominant performance at the California State Games where he worked off a fastball up to 89 with a split changeup in the 78-80 MPH range followed up by a mid 70's slider to pick up eight strikeouts of 15 hitters with no hits allowed. McGuire was named the Most Valuable Pitcher of the State Games from his outing. The mixture of high level performance, high quality stuff, and projection for even greater future stuff to his profile earns McGuire a spot inside the Top 150.
+ LHP Adrian Bravo Ridgeview High School (Uncommitted): Now Ranked: #156
Bravo was a key performer during the Ridgeview High School teams run to a CIF-Central Section D3 title and a Southern Regional D4 title in the spring before posting a strong summer which he capped by throwing one of the more impressive bullpen sessions of the sumer for Steven Hardesty. A sturdily built southpaw out of the Bakersfield area, Bravo lived in the upper 80's with strong feel for throwing his fastball for a strike while touching 90 MPH. He also spins a pair of solid breaking balls in his SLD/CB and the emergence of a sound changeup. A four pitch mix, athletic operation, flashing the feel to throw strikes all combine to put Bravo inside the rankings for the first time at 156.
+ OF London Anderson Bakersfield Christian High School (Uncommitted): Now Ranked: #161
Another Bakersfield based product, Anderson showed off a dynamic overall profile in front of Hardesty at the Bakersfield Summer ID. Anderson posted strong spring numbers for Bakersfield Christian High School showing his ability to impact a game with his offensive profile including an average near .400, double digit steals and more. He carried that performance level into the summer across the circuit, but the exclamation mark of his dynamic profile came to close the summer. Running a 6.5 60, showing centerfield athleticism, and for good measure showing off 100+ MPH exit velocity from the right side, the tools back up the performance and push Anderson onto the rankings for the first time.
+ OF Ryan Talley Royal High School (Uncommitted): Now Ranked: 203
Talley has flown a bit off the radar after serving in a predominantly backup role for the Highlanders program during the 2025 spring season, but the dynamic athlete took advantage of the summer circuit to announce his presence. Talley hit at a high level all summer long showing off a top of the order offensive potential while looking like a long term CF/RF defender, backing it all up with his loud performance at the Bakersfield Summer ID. Talley also clocked a 6.5 60 with upper 80's arm strength from the OF (showing low carry and accuracy to his throws) while living on the barrel from a compact RH swing that produced exit velocities north of 97 MPH. Talley moves onto the board and has the type of profile that could see a future rise up the board.
+ C Cole Roth Washington Union High School (Uncommitted): Now Ranked: #239
Roth was an outstanding performer during the spring season at Washington Union where he earned the League Offensive Player of the Year award which put him on the Prep Baseball California scouting staffs radar and earned him an invite to the 2025 California State Games. Roth not only showed off his strong offensive profile, but could very well have been the best defensive catcher in attendance at the event. Showing impressive feel for receiving and athleticism in his block, Roth is strong on that side of the game, but then you add in a consistent sub 2.0 (in game) throwing arm with accuracy to the bag, it's the type of profile behind the dish that has a chance to be impactful at a premium defensive spot. Roth jumps into the rankings at the 239 slot and could see himself push further up this board in the future.
