The two-way talent out of Chino Hills first caught my eyes when he pitched the Huskies to a CIF-Southern Section D5 title in 2024 where he was utterly dominant on the mound with an intriguing arsenal and a projectable frame. Now nearly 10 months later I got my second look at Buoncristiani and I left the park at the end of the day convinced he is going to be a really strong pickup for a college program not only for what he can do on the mound, but also his glove at 1B and LH bat at the dish. Buoncristiani has developed physicality to his frame showing strength in his lower ½ and upper ½ while still moving athletically with bouncy actions. At 1B he moves really well around the bag with a strong glove both in fielding GBs, but receiving throws including a very nice pick of a throw in the dirt which he made look much easier than it really was. At the plate Buoncristiani hits out of a pronounced crouch with a quick swing that works to the middle of the field showing a present hit over power profile. The LH hitter works through the middle of the field in his approach and flashes leverage in his path putting together a pair of really solid at bats one resulting in an out when he stung a one hopper up the middle at the SS and the other he leveraged a pitch into the RCF gap for a single. Buoncristiani has posted impressive stats so far on his Jr. campaign leading the Huskies in every pitching category and nearly every offensive category and shows the tools to back up the performance.
