ATH: 7.20 runner in the 60. 1.66 and 3.97 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.
Severns continues to show steady development and all-around polish, turning in another productive and well-rounded performance. The left-handed swing is projectable, producing a max exit velocity of 93.5 mph with a max distance of 341 feet. His swing is smooth and efficient, featuring a controlled leg lift and slight uphill path that generates consistent, hard contact to all fields. There’s minimal wasted movement, allowing him to stay on time and make frequent quality contact, which are clear indicators that Severns’ offensive game will continue to trend upward as he adds strength and experience. Defensively, Severns was equally impressive. He posted pop times between 2.03-2.18 with a 75 mph throwing velocity, showing accuracy and clean mechanics behind the plate. His work during bullpens stood out most where he showed off soft hands, quiet receiving actions, and a strong ability to beat the ball to the spot, consistently stealing strikes at the bottom of the zone. He looks comfortable, confident, and natural on both sides of the ball, and his continued progression suggests he’s a catcher on the rise who’s only going to keep getting better.
