Gaida is another Panther product that has been on my radar for a couple of years. Going back to a first look at him over MLK weekend in 2024 to now, the two-way product has continued to get better at a steady rate. The most evident change for him has been in the frame as he has added significant mass while maintaining a solid athleticism. That added strength has translated into a smoother and more consistent swing that is hitting the ball with increased impact. As well, the upward trend in his bat speed is allowing him to use all of the field with authority. He sequenced well on his first step back, keeping his hands back to adjust and go down to get a low off-speed pitch and leverage it over the shortstop's head for a single, and then stayed on an outside FB to drill it into right field for a single in his second at bat. The upward trend in his position player profile due to the increases in his strength has me intrigued to see him back on the mound again at some point this spring, where he shows a true next-level profile as an RHP to go with his solid next-level profile as a position player.
