Uncommitted. Moody is a twitchy, strong, athletic bat that produced at a high level all week. He showed his good hit tool early in the week during pool play with several loud barrels to the opposite field, one of them being a backside bases clearing double for USA Scout. His high bat speed and good wheels makes him a constant threat at the plate, on the bases, and in the outfield. Moody already has an athletic frame at 6’0” 200 lbs, but could continue to get stronger and produce even higher exit velocities as he gets stronger. A lot of tools to like from the uncommitted upcoming junior.

Body: 5-11, 194-pounds.
Delivery: Sinks into the back leg as he goes forward. Counter rotates with the chest, times it up well as he rotates.
Arm Action: RH. Longer arm swing, coming from a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T86, 84-85 mph. Lots of armside run, heavy sink when he gets it to the bottom of the zone. T2145, 1962 average rpm.
SL: 75-75 mph. Gyro shape. Got some good downward action with it and some sweep at times. T1887, 1887 average rpm.

Uncommitted. Strong, athletic frame. Moody has made some big gains since the summer, and got the start on the mound Friday night. The fastball velo was down a tick, but still managed to get into the upper 80’s and settled in at 83-85. He showed maturity working out of some tough situations, and kept Carrollton in the game. Moody has a plan on the mound, and really tries to execute each batter. He loves the fastball up, as it really sneaks up on hitters and gets a lot of swing and miss. Moody will be a name to know in the ‘26 class, and should be primed and ready for a big summer.

CB: 73-77 mph. Heavy strikes. Comes out of the same slot as the fastball. T1918, 1870 average rpm.
