Georgia Top Prospect Games: Upperclass - Quick Hits

Emerson, GA - The Prep Baseball Georgia Staff hosted the Top Prospects Upperclass Games on June 10th and 11th at Lakepoint Sports. This event was an opportunity to see top players from the 2026 classes. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman, ran the 60 yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw in live games with Trackman. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Tuesday.

Today, we will begin the event analysis with a look at the traditional statistics collected at a showcase: 60 yard time, fastball velocity, exit velocity, arm strength, and pop times. In the coming days, we will take a deeper dive into the, TrackMan data, along with a closer look at some more position player data.

Quick Hits

Timothy Clark, OF/RHP, 2026, Ola
Uncommitted. Clark is a high-level athlete with loud tools and big upside. He topped 95MPH from the outfield, showcasing elite arm strength that plays at the next level. He also turned in a 6.7 60-yard dash, highlighting his speed and overall athleticism. Clark moves well in the outfield with natural instincts and projects as a dynamic defender with serious upside on both sides of the ball.

Graysen Spears, MIF, 2026, Lee County
Uncommitted. Spears was impressive with his well-rounded skill set and athleticism. He topped out at 91 MPH across the infield, showing off a strong arm paired with smooth glove work and confident actions. His athleticism stood out in all phases, and at the plate he registered a 76 MPH bat speed, indicating quick hands and developing power potential. A high-upside defender with two-way impact.

Kaiden Howell, SS/C, 2026, Loganville
Uncommitted. Howell is an athletic infielder with a strong skill set and next-level tools. He recorded a 91 MPH throw across the diamond and ran a 6.8 60-yard dash, underscoring his athleticism and quick-twitch ability. Howell moves well laterally, gets around the ball efficiently, and plays with tempo and body control. A high-motor defender with physical upside.

Nate Russell, RHP, 2026, Cartersville
Uncommitted. Russell came out and dominated in the showcase game on the mound, with a heavy ride fastball that he was able to locate up in the zone. The fastball sitting at 88-89, with 19 average IVB, was too much for hitters and he got a lot of swings under the ball. He pairs that fastball with a curveball, that has good bite and horizontal movement. And flashes a plus changeup, he kills spin exceptionally well and the pitch falls out of the zone late. Has swing and miss stuff that played well against good competition. Will be a pitcher to keep eyes on this summer as his stuff keeps improving.

Demitri Watts, C/SS, 2026, Hebron Christian Academy
Uncommitted. Watts is a pure athlete behind the dish, with quickness in his feet and in his hands. He showed off the fastest bat speed of the showcase at 80.6 MPH, and consistently hit the ball hard with a max EV of 102. In the game, he showed off that bat speed, going backside for a one hop double off the wall, and a pull side grand slam. He pairs the quick bat with solid defense at catcher, with a pop time in the range of 1.88-2. Watts is a plus bat with more room to improve his strength for more power.

Maddox Millard, RHP/SS, 2026, Gordon Lee
Uncommitted. Millard is a two way player that has the tools and athleticism to be a threat with the bat and on the mound. He showed his quick hands with the bat, with a bat speed over 71 MPH and hit the ball hard with a Max EV of 95. His defense is another strength of his with a strong arm and athletic lower half, he is a valuable defender to have at shortstop. On the mound he showed a two pitch mix, with a fastball sitting at 85-86 that has topped out at 88, and a slider that has tight gyro spin, he had batters confused. He is able to manipulate his delivery to slow it down or speed it up with composure and control of his body, which adds another element of deception. Millard is a pure athlete that could play anywhere on the field.

Charlie Schrope, RHP, 2026, Maynard Jackson
Uncommitted. Schrope impressed on the mound, with a fastball that sat 86-88 with ride to the top of the zone, and some arm side run into LHH. He paired the fastball with a slider and changeup, the slider had tight spin and broke horizontally late getting swing and miss. The changeup has a lot of horizontal movement and creates a good velocity separation from the fastball. Overall showed good feel for being able to work against hitters on both sides of the plate with his stuff.

Walker Clark, OF/RHP, 2026, South Forsyth
Uncommitted. Clark has real ability with the bat and on the mound. His swing is level through the zone, and creates natural backspin and hard contact consistently. He has a strong arm, showing off a 91 OF velo. His work on the mound was impressive as well, his fastball which sat 83-85 created a different look for hitters with cut ride action on the pitch. Paired with a slider which he has a real feel to create spin and find the zone with, with sweeper action at 2600+ RPM. He showed a changeup that had some arm side run and good velocity difference from the fastball. Has strengths as an offensive and defensive player that a team would benefit from.

Will Flowers, RHP, 2026, Mount Vernon
Uncommitted. Flowers came out and worked efficiently on the mound to start the game. Featured a plus curveball that he could spin well, up to 2600 RPM, with 1 to 7 break and a lot of movement across the zone. He used his fastball well up in the zone to set up that pitch, the fastball sitting at 84-86 topping 87.5. He used a changeup as a good third offering, the pitch has good depth and dove at a last second below the zone. Flowers showed good feel for location on all three pitches and worked well with runners on base as well.

Turk Williams, RHP, 2026, North Paulding
Uncommitted. Lean, high-waisted 6-foot-1, 175-pounds. Williams, an athletic mover, deploys an easy operation on the bump with intriguing movement patterns and looked the part across 2.0 IP.. Creating easy extension down the mound that allows the fastball to play up at 86-87 (T88 MPH) with ride through the zone for heavy swing-and-miss. Slider tunneled well with sharp, late-bite at 78-80. Changeup was thrown over at 80. Uncommitted name to know with plenty of projection remaining in the frame/profile.

Domenic Titus, LHP, 2026, Harlem
Uncommitted. The lean and athletic 6-foot-1, 165-pound southpaw would stand out across his two innings. Titus, an athletic mover, works fast with intent and was able to generate swing-and-miss with all three of his pitches. Fastball sat 84-85 (T86) with heavy arm-side run. Slider created good depth at 74-75. Changeup killed spin at (693 RPM) with tumble at 78-80 and showed potential for a future advanced offering.

Evan Moody, OF/RHP, 2026, Carrollton
Uncommitted. Moody continues to look the part in all facets in each setting we see him. The physical 6-foot-0, 200-pound RHH would put together one of the loudest rounds of BP. Flashing huge bat speed (Max 82.1) with explosive hands (Max hand speed 26.9) through the zone and immense impact in the barrel out front. Producing impressive metrics with a max EV of 102.3, Avg. EV of 97 and a max distance of 385 Ft. As well as being a 6.53 runner. Moody would roll right into gameplay on the barrel with a pair of hard-hits to show for it. Including a single and a pull-side double in a 2-hit performance. The incoming senior, an athletic mover with present arm speed, would also have a loud and intriguing outing on the mound. Fastball lived 87-89 (T90 MPH) with life out of the hand. Slider was spun over at 76 with depth. Changeup at 74-79. There is strong projection throughout the profile with the physicality and continued in-game production.

JR Zeimet, C/RHP, 2026, Gordon Lee
Uncommitted. The backstop would have one of the more potent rounds of BP with seemingly barrel after barrel. Zeimet stays well-leveraged with explosive hands through the zone and feel for the barrel with real impact out front. Producing a Max EV of 100.7 and an Average EV of 91.2. As well as running a 6.98 60. The incoming senior would carry over the impressive Day 1 performance into gameplay. Where he would find a loud barrel for an easy triple. Zeimet would also show off the two-way prowess in an impressive outing on the mound. As the fastball lived 87-89 (T90 MPH) with easy life out of the hand paired with easy drive down the mound. Slider played nicely off the fastball at 75-76. There is plenty of projection remaining in the frame/profile on both sides of the ball.

Joshua Richard, 1B/RHP, 2026, River Ridge
Uncommitted. Strong, lengthy, 6-foot-5, 205-pound frame. Richard had a solid outing on the mound in the top prospects game, showing confidence and energy. His fastball sat around 82-84, complemented by a sharp 69-71 mph curveball and a changeup at 72-73. He consistently worked ahead in the counts by landing first-pitch strikes. At first base, he shows steady hands and a clean exchange with a 76 mph velo across the diamond. Offensively, he is a well-balanced hitter with power behind the bat. He has a 94 mph exit velocity from the right side. With his size and mechanics, the velocity will continue to improve, and his plate presence will develop, making him a high upside player for the 2026 class.

Carson Ray, SS/2B, 2026, Woodward Academy
Pure athlete as a middle infielder with a 6-foot, 177-pound, projectile frame. Ray showcased a smooth, confident swing with abilities to drive the ball to all fields. He shows advanced plate discipline, being able to stay in counts and limit chasing. He displayed a 97 mph exit velocity, coming from his quick bat speed and natural strength. Defensively he stands out from the rest with his quick footwork. Moves well laterally and has an excellent exchange getting the ball out at 91 mph to first base. Ray also ran a 6.92, 60, showing fast-twitch athleticism. In the top prospect games, Ray had a quality at-bat, with a well hit baseball back up the middle. With his natural abilities in the infield and at the plate, Ray from the class of 2026 is a quick riser.

Isander Poventud, SS/OF, 2026, Kennesaw Mountain
Uncommitted. Poventud continues to impress early through the summer. He showcased some athletic actions all around throughout the event running a 6.81 60-yard dash and throwing it 86 across the diamond with a smooth glove. His BP also impressed, recording a max 99 EV and an AVG 91 EV. In the game Poventud showed just what he showed in BP, especially the barrel accuracy. He consistently finds barrels and swing and miss seems to be rare for Poventud. Poventud has the makings of a complete player. Look to see some consistent production at the next level from Poventud.
