The North Alabama commit was locked in from the jump facing one of the premier arms in the class. Sheffield collected a pull-side single early and came through with one of the biggest swings of the game as he fired an RBI double into the LCF gap along with adding a sac fly later in the game to take the lead in the top of the 7th. Physical, athletic 5-foot-11, 170-pounds and boasts an immense feel to hit. Adjustability in the path with excellent balance and feel for the zone in an all-fields approach. Strength in the hands stands out with present bat speed through the zone and innate barrel feel to match that allow him to handle plus velocity along with spin. Slows the game down in the box and looks to hit early backed by advanced pitch recognition. It was a banner day for the North Paulding senior as he looks poised to lead one of the powerhouses in a stout 5-6A region and so forth.
