Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 170-pounds. Interesting start as the fastball was dominant early, ran the heater up to 90, lived 89-85 with life in the zone that has serious arm-side run and carry. Collected whiffs with the heat as well as the off-speed. Flashed the curveball when ahead in the count, lacked confidence but gradually developed a better feel for it as the outing went on, sat 78-73 with a 12/6 arc that showed ability to manipulate at times and landing for called strikes. Introduced the CH a few times and saw good results, sitting 78-76 with arm-side tumble and cut at times that really left hitters guessing. Grinded from the start, battling a tough opposing line-up and kept hitters at bay for the most part. Gave up only weak contact through ground balls or fly balls. As the season continues it will be exciting to watch him continue to develop and mature on the mound. M2C.

Uncommitted. Rogozinski is a guy that we were able to see in late May of last year, and knew he was going to a special player. He found his way into the line up and starting at short stop mid way through the season. He has been on fire at the plate in the playoffs, blasting a no doubt home run against Hillgrove. He carried that momentum into the Buford game with 2 singles. He was then called on off of short stop to secure the final out. He ran the fastball up to 86, mixing in a low 70’s breaking ball as well. He is calm under pressure and has a really mature approach both at the plate and on the mound. Maddox is going to be a name to know the 2027 class for years to come.
3/08/24
The primary SS who’s hitting a cool .400 to start the spring, came in relief on the mound and flashed an impressive pitch mix. The freshman ran the fastball up to 84 with hard arm-side run that’s tough to square up. Slider feel really stood out at 68-70 with sharp, tight horizontal break and flashed ability to manipulate it throughout the zone for strikes.
