Future Games: Quickfire Takeaways
July 30, 2025
Future Games week is something that our staff counts down to every year, and this year was no different in what’s being lauded as one of the best Future Games of all-time.
The representation for the Peach State was tremendous once again this year with nearly 70 players across the three age groups on the week. 95 MPH arms, monster home runs, middle-infield glove work, and overall, the talent was showing all over the diamond.
Today we look at Team Georgia, checking how they stack among the nations best alongside some rapid takeaways from the event.
Catchers
Pop-Time (Best)
Kyle Montgomery, Lassiter 1.90
Lee Holt, Denmark 2.01
Max Exit Velocity
Lee Holt 105.4
- The Denmark duo would make their impact throughout the week with Daniel Biondo tying with a team-leading 4 hits on the week including a pair of RBI and R as well while Lee Holt would put on a show in BP on workout day with top-five numbers in both Average Distance (368ft., 2nd) and Max Distance (411ft., 4th) while touching triple digit exit velocities consistently. After seeing minimal pitches to hit all week in-game, Holt would come through with a monster 2k swing on an elevated CH that would travel 387ft. to the pull-side for a no-doubt HR (102 EV). Kyle Montgomery was hitting baseballs hard all week long without finding grass but showed advanced pitch recognition throughout and remained one of the toughest outs in the lineup.
