Peek came out throwing fuel and showing the dynamic arm talent Tuesday afternoon. Flashed huge arm speed from an over-the-top slot with substantial projection within the 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame. Peek would battle through command issues early and would eventually settle in to give Calhoun a strong 4.0 IP where he struck out six. Working a three-pitch mix, Peek kept hitters off-balanced and consistently missed barrels. The fastball sat 87-91 T92 with ride through the zone. Curveball was flipped over at 74-77 with 12/6 movement and created depth. Displayed an above-average feel for the curveball with the ability to flip over for strikes or bury in the dirt for swing-and-miss. Changeup was sparingly thrown at 76-78. Peek would also help himself out on the mound and come through with an RBI knock at the dish. Consistently performs on both sides of the ball. Must know two-way prospect in the ‘27 class.

Peek put together a strong showing out of the lead-off spot for Calhoun against a tough arm. The pesky RHH went 3-for-4 at the plate with 2 2B, a 1B, 2 RBI, and 3 R. Showing extremely quiet and simple actions, Peek snaps a well-leveraged barrel through the zone to deliver consistent impact. As well as displaying a quick trigger with present hand and bat speed with above-average feel for the barrel in a mature all-fields approach. It was a really good look at one of the top ‘27 two-ways in the box Friday night.

Uncommitted. Peek has had a strong start to his high school career being a key bat in the middle of the order for the Yellow Jackets, and seeing a lot of innings on the mound up to this point. Peek had a multi-hit game in game one of a big region win. Peek has a smooth/simple swing from the right side. Peek shows the ability to hit to all parts of the field. Mason has plenty of room to grow in his athletic frame. Peek will be a name to follow in the 2027 class.
