Kaskaskia JC commit. Raddatz helped the Hearts to four wins on the week, going 9-for-15 with three home runs, one double, 13 RBIs, three walks and one hit-by-pitch. In their 8-0 win over Flora, he went 2-for-3 with a home run, double, four RBIs and one run scored. In their double header against Taylorville, Raddatz finished the day 5-for-7 with two home runs, one double, eight RBIs, five runs scored and one walk, leading them to two Apollo Conference wins.
Kaskaskia JC signee. Muscle-bound 6-foot, 185-pound frame with noticeable; clear physicality throughout his stature. Has long been an integral part of an Effingham program that made it to the 3A state finals last spring. Started at shortstop and hit third for the Hearts in this look. Walks up to the plate with a presence to him, expects to produce in each at-bat. Clear bat strength, generates bat speed out of a quick tip load, strides short. Picked up a pair of hits in the Effingham win, both of them to the opposite field - a hard RBI single early on followed by a backside double in his last at-bat. Looked the part of a real impact right-handed bat. Chipped in three more hits, all singles, in the second game of this doubleheader. Showed well on the infield as well. Sure-handed actions, controlled on the move to both sides. Made an impressive play in-game to his backhand, snagging a hard hit ground ball, spinning around, and throwing out a would-be runner at first base. Arm played with easy strength across in I/O. Clearly the leader of this year’s Effingham club, has a vocal presence to him on the infield that stands out. A prospect to follow now and into his college career as he heads to Kaskaskia.
Verbally committed to Kaskaskia JC.

Another 2024 who impressed over the course of the two days was RHP/INF Camden Raddatz (Effingham). Raddatz has an ease and polish to everything he does on the diamond. MIF/RHP Camden Raddatz (Effingham, 2024) turned in one of the more impressive all-around showings on the entire day. On the mound, the 6-foot, 185-pound right-hander showed excellent feel, upside and presence on the mound. His arm works with little perceived effort, producing a fastball that plays with finish through the zone while topping out at 84 mph. His best secondary offering is a sharp 11/5 curveball at 68-71 mph, in which he showed to have above average feel for in the zone, starting off a similar plane to his fastball. Offensively, the right-handed hitter provides easy pop off the bat (95 mph max EV) from his loose/fluid swing. He works through the zone with strong hands and an uphill path, creating natural lift while maintaining a smooth tempo throughout.
