Delivery: Stretch-only, athletic mover, high leg lift with some coil, tall and fall, slight cross-fire.
Arm Action: RH. Short, clean 3/4 slot.
FB: T, mph. Heavy arm-side run, jams hitters. T, average rpm.
CB: 68-71 mph. 10/4 shape with depth and sweep, developing feel. T2256, 2096 average rpm.
CH: 73-73 mph. Flashed, killed spin T1286, 1286 average rpm.
RHP Colin Giles (St. Ignatius, 2027) gave one of the louder looks on the day. Listed at 6-foot-5, 175-pounds, Giles has a projectable and long-limbed frame that should only continue to get more physical in the coming years. The fastball played in the low-80s, peaking at 83 mph in this look with hard arm-side run at times. The curveball showed some slurve action with depth, 67-69 mph with scattered control. Showed the ability to land his changeup around the zone at 72-74 mph, peaking at just over 18” of run.
RHP Colin Giles (St. Ignatius, 2027) stands in a tall, lean 6-foot-5, 175-pound frame. He works from a high ¾ slot, showing a smooth, repeatable delivery. His fastball sat 83-85 mph, topping out at 86 mph, averaging 2410 rpm with above-average arm-side run. He paired it with a curveball in the 70-72 mph range, averaging 2481 rpm, with an 11/5 shape and above-average action. The pitch showed a negative IVB (-10.3 inches) and horizontal movement (-11.3 inches). Giles also mixed in a changeup at 76-77 mph, with above-average movement to the arm-side and deception.

CB: 70-72 mph. 11/5 shape, above average action. T2566, 2481 average rpm.
CH: 77-77 mph. Above average movement to the arm side, creates deception. T1604, 1542 average rpm.
Putting together one of the better ‘pens on the day was RHP Colin Giles (St. Ignatius, 2027). Giles is an athletic mover at an imposing and long-limbed 6-foot-4, 177-pounds. HIs mix was headlined by a low 80’s fastball (T83 mph), that played with sink and arm-side run, reaching an average spin rate of 2454 rpm. His 69-73 mph curveball was a potent offering as well; playing with a sharp 11/5 shape and also showing to be a high-spin offering (avg. 2677 rpm). Giles would round everything out with a 76-77 mph changeup that had heavy arm-side fade (avg. 18.5” HM), and showed promise as another quality secondary pitch down the road.

Delivery: Stretch-only; medium leg kick into coiled balance point, drop/drive lower-half.

FB: T83, 82-83 mph. Clean out of the hand with life, feel to spin, plays with heavy sink. T2581, 2454 average rpm.
CB: 70-72 mph. Sharp 11/5 action, high-spin feel, out-pitch characteristics. T2778, 2677 average rpm.
CH: 76-77 mph. Decelerates slightly, plays with heavy arm-side action and occasional downer fade. T2056, 1944 average rpm.
