RHP Collin Burns (Morton, 2026) shined on Wednesday as he struck out two batters through two hitless innings. Athletic 6-foot-2, 191-pound frame. The right-hander operates from a simple, controlled delivery with a high leg lift. Full, quick arm action from a ¾ arm slot. His fastball sat 84-86 mph while topping out at 86.4 mph. Burns mixed in a sharp slider that sat 69-72 mph while also showing a changeup that sat 79-80 mph with sinking actions. Should play a key role in Morton’s season this Spring.
Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 6-2, 191-pounds. Lean, long-levered frame with more room to fill in.
Delivery: Stretch-only, medium leg kick into tall/fall down the mound, works in-line.
