OF Declan Kane (Providence Catholic, 2025) looks to have made some big improvements to his game since our last look in a showcase setting. Now sporting a 5-foot-11, 181-pound frame with some strength throughout, Kane chopped his 60 down nearly .20 seconds to a 7.07 in this look. The left-handed hitter’s added strength looks to have paid off throughout his round of BP as well, reaching up to 96 mph for his max EV with a max distance of 361’; working short to the ball with an uphill path and intent to elevate, working hard contact to the gaps. In the outfield, Kane is an easy mover with range to both sides and fluid footwork, pairing with steady hands and a strong arm (T85 mph OF).

Positional Profile: OF/LHP
Body: 5-11, 181-pounds. High-waisted, long-levered, with room to fill out the frame.
Hit: LHH. Balanced setup, open and works to even, medium stride, some rhythm. Short, uphill path with intent to lift the ball. Hard contact from gap-to-gap. 76.4 mph bat speed with 18 G’s of rotational acceleration.

Arm: LH. OF - 85 mph. Loose, clean arm action with whip out front. Low 3/4 release.

Hit: LHH. Tall setup, smooth load and toe-tap stride. Loose strong hands, long path, controlled intent and was on the barrel throughout.

Arm: LH. OF - 73 mph. Loose, whippy arm, 3/4 slot. Clean and fluid with carry to throws.
Defense: Active footwork, shuffles through the baseball.

Delivery: Tall and fall delivery with a high leg lift, long stride towards the plate, lands slightly closed.
Arm Action: LH. Full arm action, over the top slot.

Left/left OF Declan Kane (Providence Catholic, 2025) provided our scouts an intriguing upside look at the plate. A high-waisted and projectable 6-foot, 155-pound frame, Kane’s barrel played with length through the hitting zone and maintained a level plane to contact. He worked gap-to-gap in a fluid rhythm and covered the other half of the plate with comfort, too.
