Deaver had quite the game on Wednesday as he went 4-for-4 at the plate. The left-handed hitter operates from a balanced, tall setup with a small leg lift. Pure swing that has whip and creates leverage on impact. Loose, fluid hands with a flat bat path. Really impressed with his bat-to-ball abilities. Showcased a whole field approach. Connected on a double into left field to start the game. Came up for his second at bat of the inning and drove a ball down the first-base line on the first pitch for a two-run double. Drove in another run in his next at bat with a single into left field. In his final at bat, Deaver drove in his fourth run with an RBI single into right. Real tone-setter at the top of a loaded lineup. Showed off his strong arm (88 OF velo) during I/O. Covered plenty of ground in center.
