Uncommitted and ranked at No. 179 in the state. Standing at 5-foot-9, 164 pounds, hitting sixth in the lineup, and getting the start at shortstop. The junior hits from a slight crouch with a short stride and a loose swing. He doubled in the second inning eventually coming around to score and then doubled again later in the contest. Winkelman showed confident actions defensively as well.
INF Gabe Winkelman (Prairie Ridge, 2026) had a strong showing defensively. A lean and athletic 5-foot-8, 163-pounds, Winkelman showed natural feel for the position; playing through the ball and fielding it out front, ranging well laterally to both sides, and showing one of the better arms for the event that topped out at 90 mph.

Arm: RH. INF - 90 mph. Fast action, high 3/4 release.
Defense: Two-hand gather out front, plays through the ball, moves well laterally, clean double-play turn, some natural feel for the position.

INF/RHP Gabe Winkelman (Prairie Ridge, 2026) is a strong-bodied, 5-foot-10, 165-pounds with round shoulders and a developed lower-half, and he still has room to add on strength in the coming years. The right-handed hitter took an impressive round of BP, displaying strong hands through the zone with a flat path and repeatable operation, going mostly middle/pull-side throughout his round. Defensively, Winkelman showed patient, confident hands throughout his defensive round, as well as the ability to move with ease side-to-side. He has a quick arm that plays from multiple slots and topped out at 84 mph.
