On Saturday, February 15th, the Prep Baseball Illinois staff hosted the McHenry Preseason ID at Pro Player Academy in McHenry, IL. This event is perennially one of our largest and most talented events on our winter calendar, and this year was no different with 118 players in attendance.

Today, we continue our positional analysis of the event with a look at all of the infielders from the day. There were plenty of quality infielders to note from the event and we ranked the Top-10 below.

TOP INFIELD PROSPECTS

1. Kaden Wasniewski, McHenry (IL), 2027
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 6-0, 181.7 pounds. Projectable and athletic, possesses strength.
Hit: RHH. Starts with low hands, tall and balanced, small leg lift into stride during load. Easy swing with loose hands, quick to the ball possessing lift. 67.2 mph bat speed with 6g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 94 mph max exit velocity (85 avg.); 343-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 95 mph. Explosive arm action.
Defense: Gets around the ball, two-hand gather, soft hands, natural feel for the position, clean double play turn.
Athletic Testing: 3.80 runner in the 30-yard dash; 29.60-inch max vertical jump.
