Boasting at 6-foot, 228-pound frame with strength throughout, he worked his max EV up to 94.2 mph, averaging 85 mph with a max distance of 374’. He also showed some intrigue on the mound, working his fastball into the low-80s to pair with a sharp 11/5 curveball with over 2,300 rpm.

6-foot-1, 230-pound frame, Scholtt impressed on the mound in his start against PTA South. The right-hander tossed four scoreless innings allowing one hit and zero walks while striking out five. On the mound, Scholtt threw from a fluid high kick motion followed by a quick arm with clean actions. He used an effective two-pitch mix of a fastball and curveball, both pairing well able to keep hitters off balance. The fastball was sitting 82-85 mph with lots of ride and the curveball was sitting 73-74 mph with a late break in the zone. Scholtt was able to command both pitches for strikes, attacking hitters early and often.

RHP/3B Jackson Schlott (Plainfield North, 2026) stood out with his right-handed bat and then followed it up with an equally impressive bullpen. The 6-foot-1, 230-pound, physical sophomore has strong, easy swing with loose hands and big power potential. He peaked at 95.2 mph off the bat and his furthest batted ball traveled 346’. On the mound, he is still harnessing his repertoire but he sat 84-85 mph, T86 with a hard, downer type breaking ball at 76 mph with 2268 average rpm. Two-way follow moving forward.

Pitched four innings on Saturday allowing no earned runs on nine strikeouts, two hits, and no walks. Started off hitters with a heavy fastball topping 84 mph, sitting 80-83 mph. Put hitters away with a solid breaking ball that sat 72-75 mph. Also showed a CH at 70 mph. Throws with intent, has a strong build with a solid lower-half.  

RHP Jackson Schlott (Plainfield North, 2026) emerged as an intriguing arm in the ‘26 class on Sunday. The 6-foot-1, 240-pound right-hander has a simple operation; moving with a medium leg-lift into balance point and maintaining a slight bend in the back knee while striding down the mound. His arm is long out of the glove and plays with looseness throughout its’ circle, moving into a ¾ release. Schlott worked his fastball right in the 78-79 mph range with over 17” of run at times. His curveball showed out-pitch potential, spinning over 2,300 RPM at times with sharp 11/5 action. He featured a knuckleball with killed spin at 67-69 mph, playing with unpredictable action through the zone. His final offering was a changeup at 72-73 mph, playing mostly straight and thrown with intent.

Schlott is a physical right handed arm for this Rhino Calz squad. Listed at 6-foot, 230-pounds, Schlott’s physicality is well beyond his years. Despite his imposing stature, Schlott is an athletic mover while on the bump as he uses a methodical delivery to create fastballs up to 78 mph. He couples his heater with a sharp 11/5 breaking ball that he flashed feel for, using it sparingly. Nonetheless, his talents on the mound was something our staff came away impressed with and he will be a name to follow as he starts his high school career.
