Paul, exhibiting an athletic 6-foot, 155-pound frame, had a busy and rewarding day on the mound and at the plate in Athletes HQ’s Friday afternoon win. The right hander’s pitching performance included six completed innings and seven strikeouts. The fastball, consistently thrown for strikes, sat from 74-76 mph, topping at 78; backed by a true 2/8 curveball sitting from 66-68 mph. Mechanically, displayed a ¾ arm slot, short arm swing, upright and in-line finish, and a repeatable motion from the windup and stretch. Offensively, he went 2-for-2 with a walk, pull side double, and two RBI single; showing the ability to change body positioning based on pitch location. An overall substantial amount of contributions, essential in Friday’s victory.
