OF/LHP, Owen Shissler, Dunlap, 2025
Illinois Wesleyan commit. 5-foot-11, 185-pound frame, evenly proportioned. Started in left field and hit out of the five-hole for Dunlap, finishing the day 1-for-2 with a double, four RBIs and a run scored. The left-handed hitter has a simple, strong swing that works flat through the zone, creating some extension through impact. He later hopped on the mound and closed out the game with a dominant 1.1 inning stint, not allowing a hit, run or walk while striking out three. The southpaw went right after hitters with a fastball in the 82-85 mph range with finish and life through the zone. Potential two-way impact at the next level.

LHP Owen Shissler (Dunlap, 2025) showed feel for all three of his offerings in his ‘pen. He showed to be a clean mover at 5-foot-11, 185-pounds with each pitch coming out of the hand cleanly. He worked his fastball up to 83 mph, while mixing in a short curveball at 67-69 mph, and rounding things out with a 74-77 mph changeup that had arm-side fade and sink.

LHP/OF Owen Shissler (Dunlap, 2025) stands at 5-foot-11, 180-pounds, with strength throughout and is another two-way prospect of note. At the plate, the left-handed hitter exclusively worked line drives up the middle and to the pull-side throughout BP. He has a short, strong swing and works to keep his hands inside the baseball. He’s an athletic defender from the outfield, working through the ball with a strong arm to match (83 mph max). Shissler also hopped on the mound and worked from a simple, stretch-only delivery. His fastball sat in the low-80s, topping out at 82 mph. His change-up was his best offspeed offering with quality arm-side fade (13” HM avg).
