A couple of young 2026 arms who showed a feel for the mound and deserve a follow moving forward are Stephen Winkler (Mount Carmel), Nathan Cera (Maine South) and Dallan Krewatch (University of Chicago). All three worked their fastballs in the 70s and paired it with well above secondary offerings that have a chance to turn into go-to offerings down the road.
Positional Profile: OF/RHP
Body: 5-10, 175-pounds. Lean frame with some room for growth.
Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, bowed front foot, quick toe-tap. Flat path through the zone, uses the whole field.
Power: 81 max exit velocity, averaged 69.3 mph. 263’ max distance.
Arm: RH. OF - 79 mph. High 3/4 slot, some life out of the hand, carry with backspin.
Defense: Active/fluid feet, soft-hands, plays through the ball.
Run: 7.46 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Fluid, tall and fall delivery, works on balance and in rhythm.
Arm Action: RH. Clean arm circle, quick out front, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T79, 77-79 mph. Easy and lively out of the hand, mostly straight and controlled the zone. T2038, 1833 average rpm.
CB: 63-65 mph. Overhand, 12/6 curveball with depth. Potential swing and miss offering. T2201, 2121 average rpm.
CH: 70-71 mph. Thrown aggressively, straight action, tumbling sink at times. T1612, 1551 average rpm.
