Currently ranked No. 53 in the state. Athletic LHH, hitting leadoff for a talented Chicago Elite Royal club. Handled the bat well all weekend with a number of impressive swings, good direction in his swing through the zone with the ability to cover the plate, taking a 90 mph fastball on the outer-half the other way for a barrel, simple and on-time swing. Roams centerfield with confidence, quality jumps and reads off the bat.
Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 52 in the state. Athletic 6-foot, 165-pound frame with room to add strength. Hosty showed well on Saturday as he went 1-for-2 at the plate. The left-handed hitter operates from an open stance with a long stride. Strong hands from a pure swing with intent. Led off the game with a line drive into center field for a single. Connected on a deep fly ball to right field for a sac fly in the fifth inning.
Uncommitted. Well-proportioned 6-foot, 165-pound frame. Batted cleanup and played right field for Marist. Left-handed hitter who showed to have strong, direct hands with a short path. Flashed barrel strength when he laced a double into center field, his second at-bat that drove in a run and extended the RedHawks’ lead at the time. A name to continue to follow in the state’s sophomore class.
