Also gave an intriguing look on the mound, simple delivery from the stretch, slight drop/drive, works in-line, front foot lands square. Shorter arm action from the glove, high ¾ slot. Fastball worked around 78-79 mph playing mostly straight through the zone. Also went to a upper-60s curveball with 11/5 shape and a slider with more 10/4 shape, 70-72 mph. Rounded out his arsenal with a straight changeup, could land in around the zone consistently, 72-73 mph.
OF Tyler Manning (Geneva, 2028) is an intriguing incoming-sophomore to follow from the event. Standing at a high-waisted 6-foot-2, 178-pounds, the right-handed hitter took quality at-bats on day two of gameplay. He showed the ability to lay off borderline pitches out of the zone, and get strong swings off on pitches in the zone. When he reached base, he also flashed the ability to swipe bags with ease.
