Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 19 in the state. Strong 5-foot-9, 182-pound frame. Batted fifth and caught for the Wildcats. A steady defender behind the dish, Wyzukovicz is a willing blocker who works hard for his pitching staff. His arm has continued to trend in the right direction, now posting a pop time range of 2.13-2.22 between innings. The athletic right-handed hitter was a tough out in a pair of at-bats on the day, working a walk in a lengthy first plate appearance before hitting a hard lineout to left in his final at-bat. He has a fluid operation at the plate with an athletic swing that flashes easy barrel strength. A high-follow name to continue to watch in the state's sophomore class.
The 5-foot-9, 182-pound, right-handed hitter continues to show off an advanced right-handed hit tool everytime we see him. He has short, strong levers, his bat stays through the zone a long time and he consistently repeated hard, lifted contact to both gaps while staying on-plane and on balance. Metrically he stood out as well with the top average bat speed of the event; 79 mph. His 95.3 mph average exit velocity was second-best on the day, T102.7 and launched his furthest batted ball 374’, also second-best. He rounded out his impressive day running a 6.67 60 and peaked at 78 mph from the crouch with a low pop time of 1.94. The Super Sophomore standout is a name to know in the 2028 class.

C/INF Weston Wyzukovicz (Libertyville, 2028) is a versatile defender that looks to handle the bat well from the right side. At the plate, he showed to have strong hands with some easy flick in the barrel, staying through the zone with a flat path while remaining balanced through impact, reaching up to 93 mph for his peak EV. He’s an above-average athlete with a 7.05 in the 60, though we’ve had him down to a 6.97 in the past. Defensively, Wyzukowicz showed to have a quick glove-to-hand operation behind the plate, with a top pop-time of 2.07 seconds.

C/OF Weston Wyzukovicz (Libertyville) proved to be a reliable backstop over the course of the tournament, handling numerous arms that were new to him with ease. He works hard behind the plate and is a willing blocker, also makes a clear effort to present pitches around the zone for strikes. He showed quality glove-to-hand actions, topping out at 72 mph from the chute with a low pop-time of 2.05 seconds. Wyzukovicz also showed positional versatility throughout the week by making some high-level plays in the outfield. The right-handed hitter creates some leverage throughout his operation, showing the ability to elevate the baseball to all fields.
Wyzukovicz has a strong athletic 5-foot-8, 155-pound frame. He came up big for the Slammers in their victory against the Bison going 2-for-2 at the plate with two stand-up doubles and a walk. Both doubles by the right-handed hitter were pulled to deep left-center ending up near the warning track. He showed strong bat-to-ball skills with his consistent contact. He bats in a powerful low crouching stance and portrays a high leg kick. He has a compact swing with slight lift, giving him the potential to be an excellent hitter.

At the plate, he works on top of the baseball with strong hands, getting some extension through impact and reaching up to 86 mph for his max EV, recording a triple to left/center in his final at-bat. Behind the plate, he has a clean glove-to-hand operation, also acting as an active/willing blocker.
