+ Making his showcase debut, MIF Abraham Jose Caseres (Lyons Township, 2027) came away one of the day’s biggest winners. Recently transferring over from Venezuela, Caseres will be working towards his GED to be able to graduate in 2027. He showed easily the best infield actions of the day, and they likely place him towards the top of the state defensively, boasting ultra-athletic and natural actions with fluid footwork and confident hands. He has clear feel and timing through the ball with a lightning quick double-play turn. His arm is athletic as well, playing from multiple angles and on the move. Also a switch-hitter, he has an athletic and whippy operation from both sides. High-level follow on the infield.
