Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 187 in the state’s 2026 class. Stands in a lean and athletic 6-foot, 170-pound frame. Went 2-for-4 with a double, one run scored, and drove in the game tying runs in the seventh, eventually leading to a Cyclones’ win. Ward stands in the plate with a slightly crouched, wider base and has a toe-tap trigger into a level swing. His first hit came in the 6th that started a rally, eventually coming around to score. In the seventh, he drove in two on a double that was roped into left-center field. Still uncommitted, a name to follow next year as he heads into his senior season.

Ward stands in an intriguing frame at 6-foot, 170-pounds with athleticism and projection still to come. He gave an upside look on the mound, showing a loose, athletic delivery with a long, clean arm action, producing fastball’s in the upper-70s to lower-80s, touching 83 mph once. Ward also showed a curveball with sharp 11/5 actions at times, sitting in the low-70s. In the box, the right-handed hitter showed his ability as an all-round hitter. Leading off a game with a bunt single where he flew down the line beating the throw with ease. Ward would then in the same game barreled a ball over the left field fence for a home run. The swing is a simple balanced attack that is made with quick strong hands that drive through baseball. He also showed rhythm and approach at the plate working counts and fighting until he got the pitch he could drive. With these performances on both sides of the field, Ward is a name-to-follow in the state’s 2026 class.
