Compact, athletic 5-foot-10, 158-pound frame with room to add. The left-handed hitter showcased a twitchy swing with a fluid operation, creating natural line-drives with a flat swing and peak EV of 94 mph. He’s a bouncy, athletic defender with a natural look, showing confident hands that pair with foot-speed and quick cuts. The arm is plenty strong, peaking at 92 mph from a crowhop with life and carry - 6.78 runner to pair. Highly athletic prospect that continues to make jumps.
OF Jace Koth (Jacobs, 2027) is one of the top remaining uncommitted prospects in the state, and has made noticeable strides in his game since we last saw him. At the plate the left-handed hitter took one of the best rounds of the day, showing consistent feel for the barrel from an easy and natural swing recording a peak EV of 94.8 mph with an average of 87.7 mph. Defensively, he’s long been known as a prospect that can cover ground with ease in centerfield, however on this day he was now showing to be a more dynamic athlete; playing with athletic feet, natural actions and feel for the position, while also having the second-strongest arm for the entire event, reaching 92 mph.

Koth would continue to show an athletic LHH/OF profile. Showed loose actions at the plate with line drive tendencies and quick hands. Finished the tournament 3-for-7 with an RBI, five runs scored, and three walks. Also showed quality defensive instincts in center with athletic routes and a solid first step on the grass. 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame.
Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 57 in the state. Athletic, high-waisted 5-foot-9, 150-pound frame. Batted leadoff and played centerfield for the Golden Eagles. The L/L prospect made play after play in center and showed off impressive range throughout the game while also making a couple diving grabs to keep runs off the board. Koth is a name to continue to follow in the state’s sophomore class.
One of the day’s top performers, OF/LHP Jace Koth (Jacobs, 2027) gave a strong look on both sides of the ball. The left-handed hitter has all sorts of upside in his swing, displaying athletic hands with whip in the barrel and a line-drive approach, extremely athletic operation with body control and balance through impact. On top of his impressive round of BP, Koth tied an event-best 3.80 in the 30-yard dash. He’s an impressive and fluid athlete in the outfield, attacking the baseball with fluid footwork, fielding the ball in-stride and moving efficiently into a crowhop (T85 mph). He also showed well on the mound, working his fastball up to 80 mph to go along with a curveball he could land for strikes and a changeup.
