RHP Jonathan Tschanz (St. Viator, 2026) had an impressive showing on the mound Tuesday. Lean 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame, the right hander caught eyes with a fluid delivery, long arm swing, upright finish, ¾ arm slot, and whippy arm action. Demonstrated steady command of his fastball with late life, working both corners of the plate, sitting from 77-80 mph, topping at 81. Changeup had arm-side run, sitting from 67-70 mph, backed by a 1/7 curveball sitting 63-66 mph that tunneled effectively off his fastball. On the other side of the ball, the right-handed hitter displayed a loose, handsy swing that works to stay on top of the baseball, using the whole field while staying on the barrel throughout (T92 mph EV). Also a quality defender, he showed confidence in his hands while playing low and through the ball, long athletic strides helped him cover ground to both sides of his glove, controlled his body well. Strong arm, topping out at 85 mph across the diamond.
