One of the top names in Kansas’ 2027 class, INF Brayden Shannon (Blue Valley Southwest, 2027) came away as one of the biggest winners from Tuesday’s event. The 6-foot-1, 164-pound soon-to-be sophomore started the day by showing off his noticeable athleticism, posting an event leading 6.47 60 time. At the plate Shannon was on the barrel often, sending line drives all over the field with a 86.6 mph average exit velocity. He sent his best ball 349 feet at 93.2 mph with plenty more to come as he continues to add strength. His athleticism played in the field as well, showcasing clean, sure-handed actions on the infield with comfortability on the move and a 85 mph top mark across the diamond to pair. Shannon will definitely be a name to keep an eye on in the future.
