Sunday’s look provided another glimpse at the top freshman in the Sunflower State — INF Easton Vesey (Gardner-Edgerton, 2029). An all-around athlete at 5-foot-10, 163 pounds and a standout member of Team Kansas at last summer’s Junior Future Games, Vesey showed the makings of a premier bat in the class. He swung a quick, level right-handed barrel with notable bat speed for his age, averaging 87.4 mph per batted ball with a peak mark of 93.6 mph, flashing next-level impact potential as he continues to mature. On the infield, Vesey displayed athletic actions, comfortability on the move, and arm strength, reaching 85 mph on his firmest throw.
