The Louisiana-Lafayette recruit moved his season record to 3-0 after Thursday night's win over Catholic BR. Pruitt was brilliant again for the Eagles in what turned out to be probably the best pitched game of the young season. After the 1st inning, he really settled in, as he struck out six hitters in a row from the 2nd through the 3rd inning. Pruitt's FB sat in the 85-89 mph range and he was able to grab 90 a couple of times, and he was able to stay around 86-88 mph into the 7th inning. On this night, his FB was spinning at a higher rate as well, getting up to 2423 RPM's with ride through the zone, which is why he collected so many whiffs on the pitch. All in all, Pruitt tossed 6 2/3 IP and recorded 2 BB's with 13 K's to lead the Eagles to the 1-0 win.

Physical and imposing 6'6" 240 lbs. frame. The Louisiana-Lafayette recruit got the start last Thursday night against Barbe and was excellent. Pruitt pitched with intent and seemed to get stronger as the night wore on. He went aggressively attacked hitters with his 85-89 mph FB that flashed some slight cutting action at times to his glove-side, and he paired that primarily with a mid-upper 70's SL that he was able to land for strikes and swing & miss. Pruitt also flashed a 81-83 mph CH and didn't have a problem throwing it to both right-handed and left-handed hitters. He earned the win for the Eagles after tossing 5 IP giving up 3 H and 1 ER with 1 BB and 10 K's.

6'5" 225 lbs. physical frame. The Ole Miss recruit got the start last Thursday against Catholic BR's William Schmidt in our Week 3 Game of the Week. The Bears came out swinging in the first inning and put up three runs on three hits and a HBP, but ended up settling in and competed to turn in a good outing. Pruitt sat 86-90 mph with his FB and his 73-77 mph CB showed improved shape and action. He finished his 5 IP outing giving up 8 H and 4 ER with 1 BB and 8 K's.
1/27/24
Physical and durable 6'5" 225 lbs. frame with a starter profile. The Ole Miss recruit bursted onto the scene last spring for the Eagles and has continued an upward trajectory into 2024. Pruitt pitched with a ton of confidence on Saturday against U-High thanks to a 88-90 mph FB, to go along with good feel for an "11-5" shaped 75-77 mph CB and a 78-80 mph CH. He finished his two-inning shutout stint with 4 K's and is one of a few of 2025's in the state that should garner attention from area scouts that are looking to get an early look at prep prospects for the 2025 MLB First-Year Player Draft.
