INF Brendan Pyle (Fort Zumwalt East, 2026) took one of the more professional and polished rounds of Team Missouri’s workout. A strong, compact 5-foot-10, 180-pound athlete, Pyle was all over the barrel in both rounds, back spinning baseballs off his barrel gap-to-gap. He averaged 87.2 mph per batted ball, peaking at 94.5 mph, and his furthest ball traveled 353 feet into the left-center gap. Pyle’s long been known as a steady defender on the infield and his arm played accurate across the diamond, touching 86 mph at peak.

Positional Profile: 3B/SS High follow and one of the top players in the MO 2026 class.
Body: 5-11, 180-pounds. Projectable, athletic frame with present strength.
Delivery: Controlled tempo rocker-step delivery. Medium balance point, working downhill landing square to home.
Arm Action: RH. Quick high-3/4 arm action. Plus arm speed with a clean release.
FB: T90, 89-89 mph. Straight action. Explosive out of the hand. T2031, 1864 average rpm.
SL: 74-76 mph. Slurve action. !0/4 break with flashes of depth. T2035, 1979 average rpm.

Hit: RHH. Athletic, balanced base. Quiet pre-pitch actions. Leg lift and short stride. Quick, level swing plane. Above-average bat speed with natural loft. Gap-to-gap power with solid extension. 75.2 mph bat speed with 17 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 96 max exit velocity, averaged 87.6 mph. 344' max distance. Well above-average bat speed.
Arm: RH. INF-89 mph. Short high-3/4 arm action. Solid carry and accuracy. Clean release.
Defense: Fluid defender. Confident actions with clean glove and repeatable footwork.
ATH: 7.05 runner in the 60. 1.65 in the 10 yard split. 28.10 max vertical.

Body: 5-10, 175-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Wider setup, crouched, athletic actions, up/down leg lift. Quick, direct to the ball, natural lift on the ball, consistent line drives. 71 mph bat speed with 13 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 93 max exit velocity, averaged 84.9 mph. 330’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 81 mph. Strong and clean, short arm, 3/4 slot.
Defense: Two-hand gather, soft hands, fields ball to body, quick, clean transfer.
Run: 7.62 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Quiet delivery, repeatable, medium leg lift, tall/fall delivery, lands in-line.
Arm Action: RH. Compact arm, 3/4 slot.
FB: T84, 83-84 mph. Straight four-seam type. T2110, 2037 average rpm.
SL: 72-73 mph. 10/4 shape, slurvy action. T2205, 2079 average rpm.

One of the top prospects in Missouri’s 2026 class, INF Brendan Pyle (Fort Zumwalt East; Mizzou commit) continues to look the part of a high-end name each time we see him. Pyle, who slashed .364/.520/.506 as a freshman hitting in the middle of the Lions’ order this spring, peppered line drives to all fields in BP from a rhythmic right-handed swing that he repeated consistently. His hardest ball left his bat at 93.3 mph and he sent his furthest batted ball into the pull-side gap 330 feet, per TrackMan. Pyle’s sure-handed on the infield too, with actions to stick somewhere on the dirt long term. He hopped on the mound later on in this event as well, averaging 18 inches of horizontal movement on his fastball at 83-84 mph. Pyle showed two secondaries; a tight, short wrinkle slider at 72-74 mph and a 75-77 mph changeup that he threw at fastball arm speed and slot, averaging 20+ inches of run.
Arguably the day’s top prospect, INF Brendan Pyle (Fort Zumwalt East, 2026) emerged a high-follow incoming freshman at Wednesday’s event. Pyle showed all sorts of upside at the plate, repeating a clean right-handed stroke in rhythm and maintaining posture throughout. He looked advanced for someone his age offensively, and his ability to stay back up the middle with loose, easy bat-to-ball skills suggest he’ll certainly hit throughout the entirety of his high school career. Pyle could potentially add a boost to a Fort Zumwalt East team that finished this spring in the ‘Final Four’, and he’s absolutely a name-to-know in Missouri’s 2026 group.

Hit: RHH. Narrow stance. Minimal load. Short stride. Simple approach. Line-drive hitter. Pull side tendencies.
Power: 88 max exit velocity, averaged 79 mph. 310’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 79 mph. Short arm action, high 3/4 slot.
Defense: Clean two handed gather out front. Funnels to the center. Balanced footwork. Clean exchange.
