Delivery: Uptempo drop and drive delivery. Uses a high leg lift before striding closed and falling off after landing.
FB: T84, 81-84 mph. Mostly strikes, feel for moderate spin, keeps its plane. T2074, 1922 average rpm.
SL: 66-68 mph. Mostly strikes, feel for high spin, right to left break. T2387, 2283 average rpm.
CH: 69-70 mph. Developing accuracy, kills spin, keeps its plane. T1636, 1532 average rpm.
RHP Cade Cantrell (Knob Noster, 2028) has firmly established himself as one of the top young arms in the Show-Me State, and Tuesday’s outing further solidified that status. Lean and projectable at 6-foot-2, 172 pounds, Cantrell’s fastball jumps out of the hand, topping at 84.2 mph in this look, with other summer outings showing it as high as 87 mph. His go-to secondary offering was a sweeping 66–68 mph slider with over 2,300 RPM and an eye-opening -20.5 inches of horizontal movement, giving it true swing-and-miss potential. He also flashed feel for a fading 69–70 mph changeup to round out a well-advanced three-pitch mix. With present stuff, command, and plenty of projection left, Cantrell is a name to know moving forward in Missouri’s 2028 class.

Delivery: Uptempo side-step delivery. Repeats well. High balance point working downhill with aggression. Strong lead leg with some extension out front. Lands slightly closed, working across his body.
Arm Action: RH. Long to short high-3/4 arm action.
FB: T84, 81-84 mph. Heavy action around the zone. T2204, 2127 average rpm.
SL: 68-70 mph. Sharp 11/5 break with depth. Solid feel. T2712, 2629 average rpm.
CH: 71-72 mph. Solid fade action. Kills spin. T1679, 1629 average rpm.
ATH: 23.50 max vertical.
RHP Cade Cantrell (Knob Noster, 2028) put together an impressive bullpen that was mature beyond his years in this look. The lean, projectable, 6-foot, 153-pound righty ran his fastball up to 84.3 mph, with plenty more to come, consistently sitting at 80-83 mph and playing with carry through the zone. His best secondary pitch at the moment looks to be his slider which he threw at 68-69 mph with an average, bullet-like spin rate of 2,629 RPM. Cantrell also turned over a low spin changeup at 70-72 mph that played with arm side run.
