Got the start on the mound and turned in one of the stronger outings of the day, striking out 10 across seven innings while allowing just two hits and one run. Attacked hitters early and often with polish and feel for the zone. Worked with an 80-83 mph fastball while pairing it with advanced secondary offerings in a 73-76 mph slider and 75-78 mph changeup. The changeup generated whiffs against both right and left-handed hitters throughout the outing. Line: 7 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 10 K. One of the top uncommitted arms remaining in the senior class.

+ Our staff saw RHP/INF Caleb Scheel (Mukwonago, 2028) a couple weeks ago working out as an infielder at the South Milwaukee Preseason ID. Scheel further solidified himself as a follow at that event and did the same thing on the mound on Saturday at the MOSH. Scheel worked with an up tempo delivery with a 3/4 arm slot and drove the heater in the upper 70s through the zone. The curveball showed a 10/4 quick break that he able to land in the zone and he demonstrated feel for the change up that he was able to land low in the zone. Scheel has upside in the frame and everything should keep ticking up in the near future.

Scheel was another name from the Halos 2028 team that was at The Rock this weekend and looks to have all the makings of a name-to-know in Wisconsin’s 2028 class. Scheel hit in the heart of the Halos’ lineup and donned first base across the weekend. At the plate, Scheel has confidence as he has a clear feel for standing in the box and battling an opposing pitcher. The 2028 grad flashed power with a couple loud hits while also putting up numerous high-pitch at-bats. In the field, Scheel displayed soft hands with ability to adjust and move to errant throws. Without a doubt, Scheel is a name to follow in Wisconsin’s 2028 class and is one that could see major movement upward with more physical development.
