The La Crosse commit had a nice two game stretch last week, both at the plate and on the mound. On Tuesday started on the mound against No. 11 Muskego, tossing five innings, allowing no runs, three hits, and struck out eight. On Friday, Curtis was seeing the ball well at the plate finishing the game 3-for-4 with three doubles, and six RBIs.

Started at third and hit third in the lineup, going 3-for-4 with six RBIs, three doubles, two runs and a walk. At the plate, the right-handed hitter swings a strong barrel with plenty of strength behind each swing, showing feel to use the entire field. Defensively the infielder is a reliable defender at either spot in the corner infield with plenty of arm strength to stick at third.

Standing at 5-foot-11, 210-pounds, Curtis only had one hit on Saturday night, but it proved to be the difference-maker for his team. The righty launched a pitch to the left-center gap, clearing the bases with a double, giving the Fox River Bandits a lead. His clutch presence was felt all weekend, as Curtis, who was playing up an age level with his brother, stepped up at the top of the order for his team, consistently producing by utilizing his strong lower half and quick hands.

The 5-foot-10, 215 pound backstop recorded a top pop-time of 2.19 seconds, also moving quickly into blocks to deaden the ball out front. At the plate, the right-handed hitter showed some easy juice from his short swing; working rotationally through his upper-half and using quick hands to spray line-drives to the whole field.
