Each week, WIAA coaches around the state submit to us their nominations for the Prep Baseball Wisconsin Player of the Week and Prep Baseball Wisconsin Pitcher of the Week honors. Yesterday, we awarded the Week 3 Player of the Week to Logan Hagman (Hudson, 2027) and the Pitcher of the Week to RHP Owen Dobberstein (Pewaukee, 2025; Evangel) for their excellent performances on the diamond. On the week Hagman went 8-for-12 with seven extra base hits including one home run against one of the state’s top left-handers while also collecting six doubles on the week to go along with eight RBIs and runs scored, walking three times. Dobberstein has already stacked multiple quality outings together, his most recent being the most impressive, tossing a five inning no-hitter, striking out 13 batters while walking the first batter of the game.

There were a number of other impressive performances that were in the mix for the award and deserve recognition. Here’s a look at some of the most notable.
