After hitting a 97 mph high across the infield at the West Milwaukee Preseason ID roughly a month ago, our staff was curious to see if it transferred over to the mound for RHP Dean Staudacher (Muskego, 2025). After seeing his ‘pen on Saturday it is safe to say it does. He featured a full and loose arm action that produced fastballs up to 90.1 mph while sitting the upp-80s throughout. His fastball also played with nearly 14 inches of horizontal break on average, too. As for his offspeeds, his sweeping slider showed swing-and-miss potential in the mid-to-upper-70s. He also killed spin on a changeup that was thrown at arm speed and played with a foot of fade on average.

Body: 5-11, 182-pounds. Athletic with good proportions, more fill and strength coming.
Hit: RHH. Stock set up, loose hands, rhythmic move to hitting position with barrel tip trigger, hitterish. Rhythm in the operation, loose hands with a flat path, feel to hit, uses the whole field. 70.9 mph bat speed with 6 G's of rotational acceleration.

Arm: RH. INF-97 mph. Loose, athletic arm action, plays with carry across the infield, extremely quick arm. Works from multiple slots and on the move.
Defense: Very good actions, clean, rhythmic, soft hands, bounce and energy, smooth, natural shortstop.
ATH: 7.30 runner in the 60. 30.60 max vertical.
INF Dean Staudacher (Muskego, 2025) was one of the biggest winners of the day. His 5-foot-11, 182 pound frame is athletic with good proportions and has more room to add more size and strength. Staudacher showed impressive hitability with a loose and rhythmic swing that allows him to hit line drives to all fields. Staudacher’s defensive portion of the event at shortstop was one of the more impressive performances we’ve seen at a Wisconsin event thus far. He has clean footwork working through the baseball with rhythm and quickness. The arm strength on the junior has taken considerable steps forward as he was consistently in the mid 90s across the infield with carry and had the top infield velocity of the event at 97 mph. He has clearly taken huge steps with his development and is certainly an uncommitted name-to-know in the Badger State.

Body: 5-10, 165-pounds. Athletic frame, good proportions with fill coming.
Delivery: Stretch-only delivery, closed front side, deceptive, balanced finish.
Arm Action: RH. Long arm action out of submarine slot.
FB: T72, 71-72 mph. Heavy sink and run to arm side. T1779, 1608 average rpm.
CB: 61-62 mph. Flat lateral action. T2195, 2131 average rpm.
CH: 48-52 mph. Develerated arm action, creates sink. T1287, 1169 average rpm.
INF/RHP Dean Staudacher (Muskego, 2025) stands at 5-foot-10, 165 pounds, and he has an athletic frame with good proportions that shows quality projection. At the plate, Staudacher has a smooth and easy swing on a direct path to the baseball. He impressed defensively where he showed a quick first step and athleticism, and he’s also equipped with notable arm strength (87 mph) that was accurate to first base. His arm works differently on the mound, however, as a true submarine-type that leads to a heavy sinking fastball in the low-70s, and an effective changeup that matches that slot and pitch action well.
