OF Hayden Konczal (Nicolet, 2027) opened some eyes with both the glove and the bat on Saturday. The 5-foot-8, 186 pound athlete used the entire field and was consistently on the barrel during hitting. The right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 89.3 mph and an average exit velocity of 83.2 with a max distance of 314 feet. During outfield defense, Konczal aggressively worked through the baseball with clean and athletic actions and was able to reach 84 mph on his throws. Konczal is an interesting prospect that our staff is excited to see perform during the spring and the summer circuit in game.

Konczal, a prospect who we got our first look at over the winter, stood out as a consistent batter for Midwest Halos Scout over the weekend. Standing at 5-foot-8, 175 pounds, the righty presents a solid foundation and strength that plays throughout his swing. In his second game of the weekend, Konczal was a flawless 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs in a 15-0 win. His double one-hopped the wall in left field, as Konczal displayed his natural power to the pull-side. Konczal emerged as a prospect to watch over the weekend and for the future, as he finished with at least one hit in all five games played for Midwest Halos Scout.

OF Hayden Konczal (Nicolet, 2027) has a strong and thick build standing 5-foot-8, 170-pounds. His swing is very flat and on plane and he stays through the ball very well which allowed him to hit balls to both gaps and registered one of the highest exit velocities of the day at 87 mph. During defensive work, Konczal showed off impressive arm strength at 83 mph, showing solid carry and accuracy through the target.
