+ LHP Logan Wierzba (West De Pere, 2026) is a long and lean 6-foot-1, 183 pound uncommitted left-hander in the state’s junior class. On the mound, the arm action stands out, athletic with looseness and whip through release. Also showing feel to repeat his delivery and work on time and in line to the plate. Showing a four pitch mix, the fastball plays with life out of the hand in the mid-80s (T86.7 mph), showing a two-seam with occasional run. The changeup stands out as a potential go-to pitch with heavy and late running action averaging -22.3 inches of run. The curveball plays with two plane break in the low-70s and showed feel to land the pitch in the zone.
+ Our staff was looking forward to seeing LHP Logan Wierzba (West De Pere, 2026) and he did not disappoint with his performance on the mound. The long levered and projectable lefty stands at 6-foot-1 and 174.6 pounds. Wierzba topped 86 mph on his running fastball while sitting at 84-85 mph. His fastball is complemented by a sharp curveball that he commands well, along with an efficiently spinning changeup that dies at the plate. Wierzba is smooth and balanced with a controlled delivery, throwing from a low 3/4 slot with quick, compact arm action. His arsenal will consistently keep hitters off balance.

Built at an upside 6-foot-1, 174 pounds, LHP/OF Logan Wierzba (West De Pere, 2026) put together an intriguing two-way performance on Saturday. On the mound, the southpaw features an uptempo delivery and is a dynamic mover downhill with a shorter, efficient arm action. He pounded the zone with his low-80s fastball which played with some heavy arm-side run, over a foot on average. He also spun in a 12/6 breaking ball and a changeup with slight cut at times. With the bat, he took short and direct swings to the ball working gap-to-gap and registering a max exit velocity of 93 mph.
Wierzba impressed during his championship game start on the mound. High ceiling left-handed pitcher that showed above average pitchability. Three pitch mix with a fastball that sat in the upper-70s and touch 80 mph a handful of times. Flashed feel for a changeup in the low-70s that got swings and misses low in the zone. Also used a curveball with depth to get hitters out in front and force weak contact.
Uncommitted. Gave an intriguing look on the mound for GRB Rays North. The southpaw worked his fastball up to 80 mph with a loose, fluid arm action. Ripped off a 61-63 mph breaking ball to pair off the fastball.
The freshman had a stellar week for the Phantom's. He threw a complete game with 11 strikeouts, one walk, no earned runs and two hits allowed in their 4-3 win over Menasha.
